I've removed the alarm from the ceiling but I can't work out how to unplug the cable. I'm worried I'll damage the cables. It seems very difficult to pull out. Do I just pull harder it out or is there a certain way of doing it?

This alarm chirp woke us at 4am. We then had to get a battery at 4am. We hate this alarm.
