  • What a character! :¬D

  • This is what my duck is going to look like when shes a little older.

  • i was expecting an AFLAC! noise

  • awhhhh

  • I love ducks! Adorable video!

  • I would rather have a duck anyday over a cat. Cats are nasty, ducks are cute.

  • watch out for cats, man

  • What a cutie pie. I am sending you a video of my kid who is a call duck who loves water too.

  • I never realized ducks could be that friendly, I always thought they only came to you when you're feeding them

  • just look at the duck..so plump and juicy >:D

  • Mr. Flapper should of been in Flashdance.

  • I HAVE TWO DUCKS LIKE URS BUT MINE HAVE LIKE A REDISH BEAK IDK WHAT TYPE OF DUCKS R THEY URS IS SO BEAUTIFUL

  • I recently got a new duck because my old one had passed away. This new duck doesnt like to be touched. I spend about 20-25 minites with her everyday and handfeed her tomatoes but thats as close as she gets whenever i try to touch her she freaks and runs she wont even step to close she has a very happy envirment outside and is a only duck, which is sad. But, how can I get her to not be afraid of me and make her let me pet her. Every time I even try and catch her she runs. But she does follow me.

  • @berrykari

If she doesn't want to be handled, don't handle her. Every duck is unique. They don't all like to be held. She could really use a friend though. Ducks are flock animals - they need friends.

  • @tifotter SAdly my mom wont let me get another how can I convince her. She thinks it will cost alout more money.

  • @berrykari It depends if u got the new duck right after hatching till 3days time period. If you got already grown duck and it grew up in the flock, it is very hard to make them not scared of humans, you have to win its trust and takes time. If you ever get pet duck again in the future try to get it maximum a day old and raise it properly from there, because they will then have human imprint :-)

  • @berrykari

If the duck follows you , than you have a great bond started, she needs a mate though. The secret is to never push yourself upon an animal, let them decide what attention they enjoy. Some don't enjoy any attention other than food.

  • @berrykari It helps to get them as hatchlings. When the bond to you they are better than dogs and that's saying a lot because I love dogs.

  • "Why are you doing that?" Everyone enjoys a nice shower every now and then. :)

  • Cute :)

  • weow love her , i shall steal her from u , ur warned.

  • @sphinxofthenewage No way, jose. Flappy pants is all mine. And he's a boy. He's 6 1/2 years old now and unfortunately has pretty bad arthritis in his knees. But he's still my baby, and I'd chop you off at the knees if you came anywhere near him. "ur warned." :)

  • @tifotter how mean how dare u make me taste my own medicen lol, sad about flappy hope he doesnt suffer more. pst dont let ur gaurd down cuz im not intimidated by ur words.

  • @tifotter Eh what are the laws for having pet ducks? I want one so baddd :P

  • @sgknexmaker The laws vary from city to city. I recommend everyone read the "want a pet duck?" list on Flapper's website before consdering a pet duck.

  • why do ducks make great pets ?

iam thinking of getting one but idk

  • @SuperKare123 I don't think ducks make good pets for most people. There is a list of reasons I made as to why I think that on flapper's blog.

  • "do call that quacking?"

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU I AM QUACKING!

  • quak

  • My baby Peking duck follows me around EVERYWHERE! but is still a little uneasy about letting me pick him up and hold him. I'm just in fear that he will not grow up and be friendly such as your's... So is that normal behavior for them to follow you everywhere but not like to be held?

    Thank you soooo much.

  • @slowgo93 Yep that's totally normal. Ducks don't like to be approached from above, which is how most people pick them up. If you can get down to their level and scoop them up it's better.

  • beautiful duck

  • rofl! Your duck is so cute it's beyond words! I love it when you say, "You call that quacking?" and he cocked his head to the side!

  • @carebearnmbr46 Thanks. He's a sweet kid. He just turned 6-years-old.

  • This video was 3 years ago, but he's still doing great. He's a super good duck.

  • Woops, I was meant to say that I love your blog and it always makes my day!:P

  • I love you blog!! xD It reading it really makes my day ^^

  • lol I've seen your videos on myspace and now youtube. And when I was searching how to make a pen I came across your blog.

Flapper is a really funny name and I like your videos. I've been trying to get a Pekin duck for quite some time now, just convincing the parents is the hard part as apparently there are too many cats around. Even though it would have a pen, and I'd watch it when it's out.

The neighbors next door were helpful when they bought some chickens, they have really helped my cause.

  • how come some ducks run away when i do that and then others dont? no seriosly! why?

  • I think you'll have to ask the ducks that.

  • Aww! My duck used to looove it when I showered 'cuz that meant she could soak up all the stray spray. xP This is too cute! :D [5/5]

  • He really loves taking a shover!

  • he's always gorgeous, Tiff. Maybe cause he's so much like Sookie?!!

[has this been up for 10 months? how come I haven't seen it before?!]

  • Cool! =)

  • cool duck! I miss that when I have those on my farm like Mr Flapper :)

  • Funny! Clearly summer too.

  • Awesome! He is so cute! = )

  • He is!

  • He is SO handsome!!!!

  • How funny! And how your back yard has changed!

  • awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO MR FLAPPER

  • Mr flapper is really pretty. I love the part where he gives Stray Kitty the hairy eyeball! Good job Mr Flpper!
