  • Dza......rrrrright

  • this is not bad......I like the background orchestration. It's so hard to make a judgement after hearing Campbell's first......actually I have not heard a better cover than this

  • check out my sample of this watch?v=P5UW7SIIIOU&context=C29d34ADOEgsToPDskIlvnqjuBN3xOZvvW8As_z1

  • I cum at 2:43.

  • SMOKE DZA SAMPLES THIS IN IT AINT MY FAULT IT SOUDNS AMAZING!!!

  • @SolRaProducer BasedGod kills Joe Budden on the same beat.#Swag

  • Dis da shizzle! Aint nuthin lyke it theze dayz, muzic wuz fo rea back in tha day!

  • that's big hutch's uncle...both great musicians

  • Thank You Based God

  • BTW, that said, Willie Hutch really KICKS ASS!! Those stings and horns can't disguise the soul/funk that was in his future.

  • Cover kinda reminds one of those albums checked out of the library back in the day. The covers always featured the singer with a green background (nature) to let the listener know these selections are gonna be non-threatening love songs.

  • lilb-t-shirt and buddens/smoke dza- it aint my fault

  • smoke dza's it aint my fault!!

  • @DaKingPinofNY lil b got that beat from the smoke dza bro

  • @nica305boy1 No he didnt he got it from G-14..

  • @JaLomangino cool

  • @nica305boy1 You are very right. That beat for Lil' B's "T-shirts & Buddens" was Smoke DZA's beat.Just like how John Boy jacked Lil' B's cookin' dance.

  • Lil B sampled this; T Shirts and Buddens

    -Your Neighborhood Fly Guy (FlyGuyInc.)

  • @dareezun YO IM SO GLAD U SAID WHERE THIS BEAT IS FROM. Cause i heard it from "It Aint My Fault - Smoke DZA". And now i FINALLY found the Instrumental. GOOD LOOKS FAMM. U really help me out. 100

  • Dude sounds like someone drugged Johnny Mathis with some soul.

  • @binstence I totally agree with you. This version is very good but there are too many flourishes that take away from the true essence of the song. When I hear the original version I actually feel as if I am the Wichita Lineman! When I hear this song I don't feel that at all!!!

  • @binstence yeah, as much as i love JT his version was kinda lacking to me....i know a few people that really like it though so idk

  • @binstence it's probably just a difference of preferred genres.....i grew up with soul and gospel so when i heard the campbell version i always wished he would embellish more lol....but i thought that was the point willie was trying to make (changing the haunting feel of the song)....that's why he added horns and pepped it up a bit....by the way, if you haven't heard the james taylor version that one is pretty decent as well

  • @Dotgotit haha hell yeah

  • lil b brought me here

  • im not gonna lie i found out bout this cuz of lil b so i thank you basedgod guiding me to the original

  • I like The Meters version best...its not on youtube though.

  • This is sick

  • @DaKingPinofNY that instrumental to tshirt and buddens isnt lil b's. look up smoke dza- it aint my fault

  • @YoungYahtz94 honestly I really don't know which one came first so I give the beat to both of em

  • @DaKingPinofNY smoke dza's did but either way its a hot beat. i think lil b is a terrible rapper, probably one of the worst, but i gotta give him props for tryna go at budden and he had some good lines in the diss

  • @YoungYahtz94i dont look at lil b as a rapper,i look at him as a entertainer...

  • Willie Hutch. 100% Underrated! This was just before he joined Motown.

  • well done

  • Based Lord

  • Nice one son like it 10 out of 4

  • they should sample this even more god damn based god

  • This was made to be sampled

  • i can't understand why 2 people dont like that ?? ...

  • The two people who voted this down need hunted down and killed.

  • Joe Budden U A Muther Fuckin Joke Rawest Rapper Lil BOSS

  • Thank You Basedgod

  • god dam basegod

  • @isitwithtoast epic win

  • The Meters have the best version of this song

I like glenn campbell's voice but willie hutches skill of vocal arrangement was Bangin

    dennis browns was cool though

  • god damn based god...

  • Basegod

  • I think Art Bell needs to sing a version.. "East of the rockies, you're on the line"

  • I like both versions! Glenn Campbells' does have the edge, though.

  • Another Great version, but have you checked Dennis Brown's version!

  • I gotta admit, TO ME, glen cambell's version is the first one I heard and thus I can't even entertain any other version being 'better'.

However, THIS version is live as hell!

  • old ass nigga

  • Don't thank Glen Campbell. Thank Jimmy Webb for penning it. Jimmy wrote for the 5th Dimension, among others. During the 60s and early 70s, the man knew how to write a song. His first two solo albums were critically acclaimed but were sorely overlooked (and underbought). Check out his stuff. His best album is "And So On" - brilliant songwriting and one of my all-time faves. He recorded a version of "Wichita Linemen" as well, but Willie's version takes the cake by far. What a voice...

  • amazing song. my favorite parts where hes like " and i'm still on the liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine" whoo baby!

  • so much heart felt soul put into this song. i love willie hutch.

  • Willie Hutch, had such an incredible voice.... It baffles me that he isn't mentioned with the great soul singers of the 60's and 70's..."Baby come home" is incredible too...but my favorite Willie Hutch song is "I choose you...." i know, i know, his words on there are just heavy too me, and not in relation to the movie the Mack either lol

Peace...Oh, and big up to Glenn Campbell for the original version too !

  • Massive Tune

  • BIG TUNE

  • Termanology respect my walk

  • thumbs up if you like this better than the glen campbell version....no disrespect though

  • I love Glen Campbells version but check out The Meters' version. Its solid.

  • @abcdefghjklmnrst yep, no disrespect to Glenn Campbell / Jimmy Webb, after all they created it. But this is a great cover of this song. So is The Dells version -- but this has such great guitars and keyboards horns... everything! Can't go wrong with Willie Hutch.

  • @tis1971 agreed...hutch is so underrated....definitely should have been move famous

  • @tis1971 more*

  • @abcdefghjklmnrst Black folks just got that soul, baby.

  • lmao homer sang this

  • beautiful song. what a voice why haven't i heard of this man iv got some catching up to do WOW!

  • I swear I grew up hearing Glen Campbell singin this!

  • I was listening to this track while I was on the road, and I stopped at a gas station. So I go in pay for gas, get a quick soda, and as I'm walking out (note its like a nice calm sunny afternoon) the last minute or so comes on, like right when I open the bottle, and I just stop and say....this song would be great for a Coke commercial lol, it was so surreal. The great Willie Hutch, one of the best voices of RnB EVER.

  • lol

  • Hahaha nice1

  • right on!!!!!!! all the way on!

  • real ill !!

  • Termanology-"Respect My Walk" produced by Buckwild(D.I.T.C.)

  • Beautiful soul album. Hurt so bad & let's try it again make this one of the true gems. It's not all about samples bruv.

  • This first 10 seconds is a killer sample then the rest of the song is just....um the whole thing makes for a good sample

  • That final 'lalala' gets me every time I hear it. What a find. Thank you for this posting.

  • Wow, what a version.

  • I love this version. Yes, I am a white guy. Don't judge me. I am all about love and forgiveness.

  • You don't have to explain that. It's never 'weird' for any human to like 'music'. Universal language, man.

  • EXACTLY! Music and Math are universal languages!

  • I don't know about math, but you're right about music man lol, I'm just kidding. But yeah music knows no color barriers, anybody of any race, culture, etc. etc. can like whatever song they please. Music is a force so powerful, that it brings together multitudes of people for a good cause...remember that

  • @blueprophet9 You stand so correct. No matter what it is,music is music..Thank you dearly, sir, for your wise words.Have a blessed evening.
