This is yet another brilliant re-invention of a classic song by early muppets...making the lyrics visual & literal and still keeping the beauty of the song in tact. If you like this check out one of the other songs they do this to: "What it's Worth" and my fave "Time in a Bottle".
I can relate to this song. If you pay attention, you can see the pupils of the creature become smaller when we look inside his mind and after he's done singing.
I remember when my class played up, we were made to dictation where the teach would read out passages of a book and we'd have to write it down verbatum.
I can imagine her now using this same thing for the really disruptive students.
Laugh tracks in old shows are so obvious and detracting >.>

I saw some early MASH episodes recently, and it is pretty distracting. But, I sometimes see new shows with annoying laugh tracks.

Ya, it does. Maybe that's why it has three feet and not four.

is that a Fraggle?

No. This was many years before the Fraggles. Maybe it's a proto-fraggle.

For best effect, watch a straight performance, e.g. that by Alison Moyet, first. THEN watch the "Screaming Thing" version!
