I was born a couple of blocks up the street and spent a lot of time here. This was built for the Pan Pacific Expo in 1915, It was supposed to be a temporary building made of something called "staff". Somehow it survived. Probably my favorite building in all of San Francisco Except for the Golden Gate Bridge perhaps.
