@THFCUK Dude, Stoichkov alone was better than Romario. A lot better. This is no match. Bulgaria were by far the most exciting team in the competition. Brazil were boring and ugly.
@THFCUK I am 42 years old and I had seasons tickets watching Romario for 5 years in the early nineties. Lovely circus player and decent finisher, but by far not as complete a player as Stoichkov, who was much more dynamic.
Brazil were terribly ugly troughout WC94. Defending with 9 men and speculating on a few individual moments. Bulgaria had creativity everywhere on the pitch. Letchkov and Balakov had more class than any of the Brazilian midfielders who stuck to defending.
Brazil 94 knocked the ball around as well as Barca did last year. In fact I've only ever seen 3 teams play like that: Red Star Belgrade 91, Brazil 94 and Barcelona 2010.
Maybe you're bitter cause Branco's free-kick still hurts...17 years on. ;)

Each of their '94 matches were ugly, apart from a short spell in which they were outplayed by the worst Dutch side in last 30 years. Branco's free-kick was a silly GK-error. That didn't hurt any Dutch because there were 5 or 6 sides better than Holland in that tournament. Bulgaria and Romania were better. Brazil were barely better, but most of all: that Brazil team were incredibly boring and didn't knock anything around.

I'd rather write it in English ..I am a Bulgarian and and i was 14 when this thing happen ^ saw it in Local club (there was a video games place glued next to it)::D pretty much everyone in there went crazy....in the same time i believe the whole town went crazy.. as well as the country....fun memories.......................
