I liked the Scary Movie series, but one movie that i knew would be shit was that Vampires Suck movie, and low and behold everyone who said something about it hated it

Well people who go to these movies are mostly teens. I know that because I've done it when Scary movie 3 went out. Just to note, part of the reason these make money is because they are dirt cheap to make. $35 million is horrible revenue for a movie, and usually that would be a bomb, but since it only cost around $20 million, it can make money.
You are right though, these movies have a cult audience that will give each version a shot regardless. Once the nostalgia for the old good ones die though, quality will either go up, or the franchise will die. I dont care either way.

Believe it or not, Ninja Gaiden is Sigma is one of my all time favorite games. I got part 2 and have had it for a month and have yet to play it. I know, I know.

Either way, it seems that Zombieland is the americanization of Shaun of the Dead. Shaun of the Dead is the superior movie regardless of your opinion. It's more original, it's probably funnier, etc. I haven't seen a great movie in theaters since Napoleon Dynamite.

Scary Movie 1 and 2 were great, and part 3 was ok. All these other pardoy movies (epic movie, date movie, etc.) are actaully rip offs of the scary movie franchise.
Part one had scenes that were not only unwatchable but were literally some of the most disgusting unfunny things I had ever scene. Example, the sex scene where a cum-geiser shoots her to the ceiling. I did a little research. Transylmania is being made by National Lampoon, for those of you who don't know who they are, they are the geniuses behind the vacation movies. Also, Transylmania was actually made 3 years ago, before even the first Twilight film, but was never given a U.S. release.
It was actually intended to be a Halloween timed release, but they had licensing difficulties. In other words, it has nothing to do with Twilight, and might be good.
It may not have anything to do with Twilight plot wise, but you are kidding yourself if you think the time it is being released RIGHT AFTER Twilight New Moon is just a coincidence. This is a deliberate attempt to get the attention of some of Twilight's audience to see this movie. Even if it was supposed to be released a few weeks before Twilight it still can cash in on the indirect hype of a much major vampire movie.
I'm not saying that it being released isn't a coincidence. I'm saying that this movie was not CREATED because of Twilight. It wasn't released a "few weeks" before Twilight. It was released TWO YEARS before the world even knew the shitstorm novels existed!
What's really amazing is that Transylmania is actually DORM DAZE 3!! Yup, the characters of the previous films (as well as the writers and directors) did this film. So bizarre. The first film was released theatrically in a handful of theaters, the sequel was direct to video and now the third film is under a different title AND will be released wide!!! I don't agree with you, however. I don't think the film will do all that well. Nor should it. It looks AWFUL.

No it didn't. Everyone keeps saying Disaster Movie tanked but it cost $25 million to make and brought in $35 million. The movie studios are THRILLED when something that cheaply made makes millions in revenue for them.

It's one of my all time favorite spoof movies up there with Airplane. But I am not a fan of Mel Brooks. I thought Blazing Saddles was way over rated and had comedy in it that would be uncomfortable to laugh at in a theater today.

Either way, it seems that Zombieland is the americanization of Shaun of the Dead. Shaun of the Dead is the superior movie regardless of your opinion. It's more original, it's probably funnier, etc. I haven't seen a great movie in theaters since Napoleon Dynamite.

I did a little research. Transylmania is being made by National Lampoon, for those of you who don't know who they are, they are the geniuses behind the vacation movies. Also, Transylmania was actually made 3 years ago, before even the first Twilight film, but was never given a U.S. release.
It was actually intended to be a Halloween timed release, but they had licensing difficulties. In other words, it has nothing to do with Twilight, and might be good.

It may not have anything to do with Twilight plot wise, but you are kidding yourself if you think the time it is being released RIGHT AFTER Twilight New Moon is just a coincidence. This is a deliberate attempt to get the attention of some of Twilight's audience to see this movie. Even if it was supposed to be released a few weeks before Twilight it still can cash in on the indirect hype of a much major vampire movie.

What's really amazing is that Transylmania is actually DORM DAZE 3!! Yup, the characters of the previous films (as well as the writers and directors) did this film. So bizarre. The first film was released theatrically in a handful of theaters, the sequel was direct to video and now the third film is under a different title AND will be released wide!!! I don't agree with you, however. I don't think the film will do all that well. Nor should it. It looks AWFUL.

No it didn't. Everyone keeps saying Disaster Movie tanked but it cost $25 million to make and brought in $35 million. The movie studios are THRILLED when something that cheaply made makes millions in revenue for them.
Not to mention that DVD sales for that film probably brought in a few million more.
Disaster Movie is a perfect example of a movie that get's thoroughly trashed and still makes millions. These movies damn near ALWAYS make a profit.
