The glee cover, to me, lacks the true passion found in the original version and possibly other covers. This is why I hate glee now. It's not about MUSIC anymore. Before I thought it was alright. Then they started autotuning everything. And made crap storylines as a shitty excuse to cover certain songs. Love John Lennon and The Beatles. Some covers of Imaine have been brilliant, but this is horrible. Missing out the first verse, and I don't get the same feeling and message as when I listen to the original, or even the Connie Talbot version.

The glee cover, to me, lacks the true passion found in the original version and possibly other covers. This is why I hate glee now. It's not about MUSIC anymore. Before I thought it was alright. Then they started autotuning everything. And made crap storylines as a shitty excuse to cover certain songs. If you were to cover John Lennon, or the Beatles, you have to sing it loud and proud and with all your heart. This sounds good, but the passion is lacking. This is just an opinion by the way.

I love glee. Not because of the acting or drama, because it's a way to get us to listen to real music that so people call "oldies music" or whatever. Id like to thank glee because I bet most of us would of never hear of this song if it wasn't for glee.

Obviously, this is the case with this version, but I still love it, and like you said, if it was not for this version, most kids today would probably not even know this song

Love John Lennon and The Beatles. Some covers of Imaine have been brilliant, but this is horrible. Missing out the first verse, and I don't get the same feeling and message as when I listen to the original, or even the Connie Talbot version.
