I've noticed you play over the scoop of your instruments, Is this to get a certain sound, or does it favour a particular style of play?

I like the softer, warmer sound one gets playing there. Plus, the "cluck" is easy to do over the 19th fret harmonic...

Why don't you care for fiberskyn heads? I was considering getting one.

They are a bit muffled for my taste. Better than frosted heads, but a bit dead. I really like Renaissance heads, as do most builders--they are clear without being overly bright.
Again, though, just my preference.

Thanks! The tuning is "double C" (gCGCD) but capoed two to be "Double D" (aDADE) with the 5th string merely tuned up to that A.
