  • @hypergunkid WRONG. Be less retarded.

  • i never passed grasstown. :( great song though! :)

  • Grasstown would have been a better, though incorrect, translation, since that's what we´re used to! And huzzah! :D

  • It don't matter if it's "On to Bushlands" or "On to Grasstown", it's still my favorite piece.

  • I like how it still has that original feel to it, but still has the updated feel :3

  • Me before watching this vid: Hmmm I wonder if the top comments will be about people complaining of the name change.

    I wasn't disappointed

  • @frostare I thought the top comments were going to be from 3 moths ago.

  • Oh, damn, this version's great

  • Ok 3DS, you won this round...

  • The name Bushlands makes me think of George Bush for some reason. :P

  • So it IS called Bushlands!

    Case closed.

I mean really, it's just a name. It's like when people thought tomatoes were poisonous. Once they found out they were edible, nobody said: "Dayum mayn, I likez it bett0r when dey were poison, dat waz awsomsoss!"

  • @InsanimationStudios WUT? DEY ARNT POISNUOS!? GAAAAHHHH MY CHILDHOOD, RAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE!

Just kidding, yeah, people need to settle down and get nostalgic memories not made of porcelain.

  • Man I love this level and this theme. Every version of it! T-T

  • @Commander001 Through a patch, we now have the 3DS mixes too.

  • This song is on cave story+ On steam :D

  • @artardscatman It is? Not on Grasstown/Bushland for sure!

The version they used on CS+ is the Wii's which.. is frankly uninspiring. The tune is the same, but the rearrangement has no energy whatsoever. They -should- have put this version, yes!

  • @Commander001 Actually, I'm pretty sure this is exactly what's on Cave Story+. The 3DS soundtrack is listed as 'Remastered' in the game's options, and is selected by default. The Wii (New) and the original are there as well. The graphics are from the Wii version, but are also toggleable with the classic ones. I'm not sure if that's exclusive to Steam, all I can say is that my version of the game has them.

  • @WhiteKnightZero7 You are actually right; mostly for the fact that the game was updated with this track set. It was not there originally upon release (So much that default was the Wii version when I played it first via Steam), but as far as I'm concerned I'm actually happy that I'm wrong! While I love the original work, I find the Wii version extremely poor, and the remastered one just actually seem to get the emotion flowing.

  • @Commander001 I completely agree. The Wii soundtrack seems to be completely devoid of emotion. It just sounds... empty. I'm glad they decided to make the songs closer to the original for the 3DS.

  • @ShuckleShellAnemia Yes, and I dont care. Its things like these that ruin my nasalgic trips.

  • @ProfesserLuigi

"Nasalgic" sounds like fond memories of your nose in times past.

  • They should have named the place Grasslands! The best of both names! :D

  • RAAAG THEY GOT IT WRONG! ITS GRASS TOWN! GRASS TOOOWN!

  • @ProfesserLuigi You realize bushlands is the official name, and grasstown is the fan-translation, right?

  • This is dead on to the original,

  • Love this song, I always get sad when I get inside a building and it interrupts this lovely medley.

  • I still think they should have kept the name "grasstown"...

    and kept balrog's "huzzah" line...

  • @TheMarioaddict Keep in mind those were from Fan Translations. As was Sacred Grounds.

The official translators at Nintendo read it differently.

  • @CriticalQuit Actually, the people who localized the game for the wii were Nicalis. Nintendo just allowed them to publish it.

  • @TheMarioaddict Well, you've gotta wonder why they called it Bushlands instead of grasstown. I mean, in retrospect, the place didn't really look like a town, so I guess Bushlands is a little more appropriate... and I also think they should have kept "huzzah" in there, instead of a certain copyrighted pun from a certain glass jar man filled with red koolaid....

  • @Darkraimaster89 It seems more fitting for his first appearance. He crashed through a building.

  • @Darkraimaster89 Well, the first time you meet him, he blasts through the wall. In Family Guy, the Kool-Aid man does this on several occasions. So I think it's a Family Guy reference.

  • @hypergunkid Yeah, you got a point there. (Although I still think "huzzah" would've been his main catchphrase in the new game. But oh well; beggers can't be choosers. know what I mean?)

  • @Darkraimaster89 Yeah. "Huzzah!" Still kicked more ass than "Oh yeah!" Though.

  • This is the song I think of when I think Cave Story.

  • Finally the full version

  • I think the water noise does help a little o.O;;
