  • this car is a true definition of all talk and no power...it sounds good but slow as heck.

  • Always Dodge .. Not the Crappy Chevy

  • always chevy... not bull shit

  • 1:27 Fail

  • @BIT93704 chrysler is dodge. who fails?

  • he deff just shitted on this car, theres nothing good about this car!

  • عليه زلف وسكسوكه غبيه

  • 4200 lbs? Heavy? My toyota solara weighs 4300 you fuck

  • @unlitdarkness6 my toyota celica weighs 2500 :D lol

  • какие же вы все убогие - неужели нельзя было нормальный движок от лексуса туда всунуть?!

  • Too heavy ??? Wait till you hit a 'Stang head on !!!

  • kevin levin's car

  • 0:44 well said :D

  • Ladies and gentlemen, if you don't like the steering wheel, then you'll love the 2011 Challenger, which has an improved interior (with smaller steering wheel on a quicker ratio). They also re-did th suspension, and reviewers say that makes the car feel much lighter than before, even though it isn't. Power is also up to 470, and torque is up to 470.

When looking at them on the internet, Challengers can seem a bit underwhelming. But in real-life, the Mustang and Camaro get ignored next to one.

  • Sorry that Dodge can't produce the numbers you want. Personally, I'd love this car. Sure it's got looks, but the numbers? Who gives a shit. It has suitable numbers for every day driving and a little more. I don't expect my car to be the fastest on the road, and if you knew anything about Dodge is that they might have old systems, but those systems still work for a reason.

  • Definitely some of the most prime curb appeal for any American car... and that 'family sedan' steering wheel ain't working.

  • @proteanview they just changed the steering wheel, its working.....Like you said that prime curb appeal is still there.

  • I like how a car that does 0-60 in 4.8sec and the quarter mile in 13.3 has, and I quote "is just not that fast these days" who is this clown?? Put the SRT8 vs the 302 Boss 20yrs from now and see which one you'll be embarrassed to be seen in. That's why you pay more, you wont change the srt8 every 5yrs like you would the stang......sure its faster, but no one's looking.

  • Look at the hand on 2:19

  • A Hand @ 2:19???

  • 4200 pounds!? da fuck. my 2001 integra only is 1700 4 cyclinder all stock and it is fast as shit

  • i know most people like rearwheel drive cause u can have fun with that ... but numbers is more important ... just my opinion

  • Mustang 5.0, under 40K.

  • @CarbineGuy

The video was uploaded oct 2009...

  • @Juice88 Uh, 2010 Camaro SS even, under 40K.

  • maybe you should critique your damn camera man, and tell him to keep his fucking hands out of the view

  • I agree. Why did they use this steering wheel thats the only thing I don't like,it's too ugly for a sports car,BUT DON'T CHANGE IT NOW I already bought one.

  • 0:50 haha Taxi driver needs a new windshield!

  • :50 hahahaha Taxi Driver needs a new windshield now! haha

  • is bitching about the car all this dick did, dam i love this fucking car! it a nice ride

  • I love the car.. I hate this asshole!

  • that is a awesome car!! is all you need to drive far away and enyoy the ride...

  • This baby has a top speed of 190mph! How is that not fast???

  • @thegreenway1994

190? what dream world are you living in?... the chevy corvette zr1 does not even have such a high top speed

  • @jumar1281 ahaha sorry. I saw a video of one going 191 on the autobahn but it turns out that it was modified. Mah bad

  • @jumar1281 205 for ya

  • This baby has a top speed of 190mph!

  • hes right

  • I understand it's not the fastest car around... But it's damn classy and makes a nice rumble if you open it up. I'd take this over a Ferrari or a quick rice rocket any day.

    However, to each his own.

  • This is on my Xmas list lol

  • i dunno where they come up with this low 5 0-60, i have a challenger srt8 and when it was completly stock i hit 4.9's, thats with traction control ON

  • 4200lbs? Holy shit man, my decade old Volvo only rocks a 3880lbs dry!

  • I sat in my friends srt-8 Magnum for 1,200 miles on a road trip and it's confirmed best seats in any car.

  • A stripped down version would definitely shed some weight in this. But for regular every day drivers, this challenger is on point. And for those who are 6'3 and better, finally something that's comfortable.

  • bro u guys are stupid if they wanted to make this car a racing car like ford theyd make it a fake ass muscle car and that isnt what dodge does.. the challenger is the only muscle car

  • i love this model carss *_* is so classic

  • 45k!!!!!! suck my cock Id buy an evo over that in a heartbeat. It's just a big, inefficent slab of american garbage.

  • @5959512 dont be mad because you can not even half way afford it haha...maybe one day when you have some money you can test drive it and you'll change your mind about it...i can talk on this because i bought one, '09 challenger SRT8, before my 23rd birthday, with my own money..

  • @hhsfball05 nice work, that is my only regret about my 2010 SRT8, is that it didn't come out 5yrs ago. Anyway not bad I got it at 31yrs old. Keeping it forever, enjoy.

  • Toolbag tv

  • nice as hell.. i would love to have the key to this on my ring.. but iwould rather have the ss camaro.

  • sexy fucking car

  • This guy exaggerates a lil to much

  • hoc21 has vids of you doing a bornout in this, whoever let you borrow this would like to see it :P

  • MOPAR

  • He's right about that steering wheel. What the hell were they thinking putting that lame ass wheel in? Cheap ass Chrysler saving $200.

  • i find this car more appealing than the mustang and camaro, you dont see many of these around.

  • this guy is an idiot lol............

  • Cool factor 10+ on for the Challenger.

  • The new Challengers (particularly the SRT8s) look bad-ass! I like it's look more than the Mustang's although, I like the Mustang more. Basically, I'm saying that I'd buy the new 2011 5.0 Mustang and not the Challenger. The Camaro, in my opinion, looks comical. The old AMC Pacer looked better than the Camaro does.

  • camaro ss is cheaper more fun to drive faster and more powerful

    its a no brainer

plus the challenger needs to go on a diet

  • I hope this guy stops making videos - really was more opinionated and full of spitting BS then anything else. WTF is up with this dudes face man, got something like a black muskratt growing off his chin, lmao The review was as funny as his face.

Like FL-Detours the stupid are everywhere, lmao Don't worry dude, you can get your old job back, your mom called, she said at Home Depot is hiring. I know I know this guy wasn't in his element must have been the cowboy dick ice cream he chocked on lmao

  • ya there is a car with more than 400 HP for less than 40 g. Camaro

  • Easily the best looking of the big three muscle cars. I also love the way he just lights up the tires in the middle of the public road infront of a taxi and stuff. Just paint that baby in torred and you're good to go.

  • @Edrox5000 - I am getting an SRT-8 in about a year and a half when i graduate from college. torred looks ok, but in all honesty i am torn between hemo orange and plum crazy. i don't like loud colors usually but the challenger looks fantastic with them. it may come to me having to flip a coin...

  • @AlienZygote010 - in my opinion if you are choosing between those two colors, i say go for the plum crazy. that's my favorite color after torred.

  • the manual does 14 and 22mpg not 19 in the srt8

  • That, in my opinion is the most beautiful of the big three. However, I'm afraid that the info here is a little misleading. I've seen these big SRT's post 4.6 0-60 with a simple diablo tune. Check out some other videos, you'll see that it's actually a hell of a lot faster than u think.

  • @delzottoj1 hmmm bad driver then? was it the rear seat delete or did he just temporarily take it out?

  • @delzottoj1 what? so it still ran slower than factory spec without the rear seat?

  • @coandcaiv nope high 4s not low 5s, i can run 4.9 consistantly with cold tires

  • nice

  • How can he say "well this car isn't really very fast, 5 sec to 60 and low 13's in the 1/4 mile" WTF? That's pretty damn fast man. Granted you can get those sort of numbers from a much cheaper Mustang GT or Camaro SS, but still, don't sit there and act like its not fast because its not a 10 sec ridiculously priced supercar. We're not all rich jerks with mountains of money to throw away. Dodge just needs to shed some weight off that baby.

  • true thats is fast for a heavy car... i think he just had his head up his own ass.. or maybe on a foren car company's ass..lol

  • @era562 fast for a heavy car for sure, I think he was just suprised at the little improvement from the old school challenger, thing is all the modern safety specs really weight the car down

  • @xJTF2x Yea what a jackass..........quote from a comment on another video I saw "everybody bitches about the Challenger being 4100lbs+ , but nobody bitches about the current CTSv being near 4300lbs".

  • @xJTF2x He said it's not fast in these days... those times can be done by a SupraTT that's over a decade old

  • @xJTF2x i love you.... no understands muscle cars yeah its 4.2k lbs so! its big "like a muscle car!" its its top speed is 180 "mustangs 140......" my dads 2007 3.4 v6 kia can go 140..... F#$% all you haters dodge finally did something right! so what if its go fake carbon fiber so what if its heavy those the only two things wrong! and even then its ok the viynal can be removed....

  • @xJTF2x he is comparing it to its direct competitors... camaro and mustang, and compared to them it just aint fast.... At the same time you can say 8 seconds is very fast, if youre talking about minivans... Fast/Slow are only comparative descriptors my friend

  • @lobzdik Well said.

  • @xJTF2x I think this was a great review. Drive one of these and you'll feel the same way - it's HUGE and feels like driving a boat full of jello. For the money it can't pull its own weight anymore (pun intended) now that the new Mustang GT and Camaro SS are out, they weren't around during this review. For $6k less you can get a fully loaded Mustang GT California Edition or a Camaro SS with the higher trim package. This is just one of those cars that, while it may be fast, doesn't feel like it is

  • @K30N4D3 I hear what you're saying, my main issue is that he's saying "it doesn't even go very fast" when it is obviously a very fast car, even if it is quite heavy. I drive an 07 Mustang GT myself with a few mods, so its not like I'm a Dodge fanboy or anything. That just pissed me off when he said that.

  • @K30N4D3 Iam doing 4.8sec to 60, quarter mile in 13.3 in the 2010 SRT8 and it feels like a big muscle car going really fast. Higher top speed than a first gen Viper, just as fast as a C5 corvette $40k in '97 , and it seats 5 adults. The 2011 has 470HP making even more impressive numbers. Put the Challenger against the mustang and camaro 20yrs from now and see which one you'll rather be seen in, thats why you pay more. Sure the mustang and camaro are faster, but no one is looking

  • idk, i don't consider muscle cars "fast".

muscle cars are more known for the sounds & groan of the engine. i mean, yah - muscle cars are faster than most normal cars, but there are plenty of faster cars being sold than a Mustang, Camaro, or Challenger. i mean, for goodness sake, the Mustang GT's speedometer only goes to 140mph! haha what a joke! at least the Challenger & Camaro go to 160mph[+].

i think he meant relative to fast cars. because, in the current drag world, those numbers are slow.

  • @yuskjr Well I honestly don't see how the speedometer has anything to do with it, it has no bearing on how fast the car will actually go. Besides, the 2011 Mustang GT blows away both the Camaro and Challenger right now with a 5.0L engine vs a 6.2L and 6.1L Hemi, speaking of jokes. And muscle cars are best known for their acceleration and big V8's, for an everyday street car they are very fast. Of course they will seem slow compared to a tuned race car or dragster, but they aren't street legal.

  • woah, i feel like you got the wrong impression from my previous comment. i love those 3 muscle cars; Mustang, Camaro, & Challenger. just because they are not fast, doe snot mean i dislike them. how does the speedometer not have anything to do with speed? im pretty sure it has everything to do with speed.. yes, the 5.0L engine makes the other two look like jokes, i agree. i see fast cars as the Ford GT, Corvette ZR1, & Viper SRT10, not muscle cars. super cars are fast, muscles cars are cool.

  • @yuskjr all a speedo does is gauge your speed, it depends on what the factory sets as the top speed that is important. You can pin the needle on the speedo and still be accelerating. I'm just going to have to disagree with you about muscle cars not being fast, because muscle cars are very fast, as are many other sporty street cars. I think its kind of ignorant to say only super cars are fast and everything else is "not fast, just cool".

  • motorcycles are fast, super cars are fast, muscle cars are just kinda fast, not legit fast. all i was saying bout the speedometer was that it's sad that the Mustang GT's only goes to 140mph because that is just not relatively fast anymore. 20 years ago? yah. now? nah. im just saying that muscle cars are [& never were] meant to be fast cars - they were meant to be loud & impressive at 0-60mph times. other than that? they are just bulky & sluggish. but, w/e; to each his/her own, right?

  • @yuskjr the new 5.0 mustangs are pretty fast, about m3 fast, I kno it sounds crazy but look up the specs and most importantly the handling road course test, of M3 vs Mustang 5.0

  • @xJTF2x It's probably cause Matt has N/a tuned C5 with over 550hp and at 3400lbs that Corvette is stinking fast.

  • @xJTF2x no need for shaving .... just all wheel drive and ur good to go .. like jeep srt8 ... same engine and 0-60 under 4 second

  • @xJTF2x

Think mustang has changed the game now lol

  • I use adblock + and no script i never see adds EVER

  • i hate these fucking google chrome ads

  • low 13's and 170mph top isnt that fast these days i bull for the price you cannot beat the acceleration by much and low 13's is alot of speed on the street not everyone can buy ZR-1 and other super cars

  • I know people always rip on the Challenger, say it sucks, and would rather buy the Mustang or the Camaro, but the thing you got to look at is that this car is probably better than the car you have now, and regardless, you're going to have lots of fun driving it.

  • The Challenger was...and in this incarnation still is large. A better comparison would be to size-up the back-seat with a pair of average sized individuals...Between the "Big three"(Mustang, Camaro, Challenger).....the Challenger will be the largest...check out trunk capacity too. The 'new' Challenger will literally run circles around the old one....the old one having that horrific torsion bar suspension.

  • I would never buy a Dodge or a Chrysler. Horrible reputation for quality, and the worst engineering out of the Big 3. They can't build a winning car, and they always have multiple models popping up in the Top 10 worst quality and safety lists.

  • the acr is a winning car

  • Dodge Challenger SRT8:

    0-60 Mph. 4.8 Sec. Top Speed 155mph.

Thanks FLD For The Awesome! Review. on A Badass Killer... American Muscle Car

  • cheapest car that gives over 400hp. Isn't the Camaro SS like 33k with the same amount of hp. Plus the Camaro even has fully independent suspension so its a muscle car that can also turn. Personally I would have the Camaro over this and and Mustang.

  • the challenger has fully independent suspension, too...

  • This review was made before the Camaro came out

  • Nice but to late DOGE....... and still pulling from the from the parts bin isn't cool.

  • I cannot believe that these videos do not get more views, this is ridiculous, way better than edmunds

  • I agree, but I think it's because it's still relatively new as it's own 'show.' Give it some time, more people will start watching.

  • The Challenger, i prefer it to the Camaro, but i'd have a Mustang over either :) .

  • 19 highway?! lol!

  • ...nice

  • I like it that size, that what makes it ride so good and be a better all around car...if you cut back the size you end up like a mustang or camaro......the Challenger is a big beautiful mean lookin muscle car that has the best of both worlds which is muscle and luxury...best car on the planet, dollar for dollar

  • nice.
