  • CAN U MAKE A TUTORIAL?

  • It looks pretty great. Even though you probably won't do this again I would like to offer my advice/preferences.

At 0:35 the framerate gets slightly choppy, Im guessing you wanted teh splash off the rocks to be in slow motion, next time up the framerate if you plan on doing it in the future. Idk the mood of the scene but to make the sky seem happier and brighter add a glow effect and play with the threshold and reduce the radius.

  • @slerbo Thanks for the tips but the mood is as intended. Because this camera doesnt do 23.976 fps I had already transferred the fps from 30 to 23.976 then deleted the original footage! So when it came to slow mo I only had 23.976 fps to play with, bit of a durrrrrrrrrrrrrr moment lol. I no longer use this cam and twixtor all my footage nowadays.

  • hi buddy... u should have used warp stabilization from AE cs5.5 or should have tracked and stabilized the footage for achieving a movie look intro......

  • @aravinth33 Hi. Good idea! But...CS5 was not even available when I did this, and it was my first ever attempt. I have the CS5 suite now and sold this Camera to upgrade. Look out for my later vids.I used magic bullets stabilizer on some and that is also a great plugin.

  • song?

  • this is just amazing.

  • what is the song to this video?

  • @IWTBFOY Prague by Trevor Rabin

  • nice try, but if you're going to spend that much time trying to get the 'film look' then you should at least use your cam on a tripod and use it in manual :)

  • @ribenawrath Hardly spent any time on it :) simply tested the cam then thought why not use the footage to do this, the samsung barely has much manual control but if you look at my later vids with my Canon 550D in full manual mode the diffrerence is clear

  • @NHBEY39 all you said is true. To be honest my last comment was me being in a bad mood... I think you've done a great job, and why on earth should we not practice technique and use bad footage to do so? I thought so! Good choice on the 550d also, it's a great cam and creates incredible footage. Also it makes 7d owners jealous so that's a bonus. I subbed you because I was obnoxious and also because your work rocks. I'm off to fill my face with coco pops now...

  • Breathtaking!

  • Okay so can someone tell help me, cause im new at this

Adobe after effects is to edit the video

and what is pre pro 4 ? someone help please :[

  • @sam72OO After effects is the software you use to apply effects, colour corrections and converting frame rates etc. Premiere Pro is the software you use for editing! You would bring all your clips into Premiere pro and arrange/ trim them accordingly and add the soundtrack.

  • oh I love the song

  • can you show a tutorial on how you did that?

  • GREAT FOOTAGE... VERY IMPRESSIVE!!!

  • Very nice color correction.

Does the conversion from 50i to 24p creates some flickering or stuttering in original video?

  • @TheMash84 Looking back at this now, and after getting Twixtor, this looks quite rough. I only shoot at 23.976 fps now with the 550D and I have slowed footage down to half with very smooth results using twixtor. On this video though I did not select frame blending, which would have given a far smoother result.

  • This is just Pro my friend ;)

  • Great Work! I just watched the footage in both, 720p and 360p, and unless it''s my imagination- the footage looks more an authentic film grain in the 360p resolution. The 720p looks too sharp, giving it that video look.

Can Anyone else confirm that ?

  • @luvfinger I would aggree with that depending on what monitor you view this on, i have viewed this on different monitores and each looks slightly different, when i work on anything i use only the 24" HD monitor, but if i run through HDMI into the Sony Bravia flatscreen it looks different again, i would advise anyone to work through a flatscreen tv should you be doing something for DVD and only your monitor when you are doing something for the net

  • wow, looks impressive :)

  • it looks like tilt-shift

  • @mihedas Just simple masks with fast blur in AE

  • I have Adobe Premiere CS4 with After Effects. I never use After Effects but Im working on a project that will require it... does the program have templates and pre installed video or graphics or is everything done by scratch? please help!

  • @digitalphunc Everything has to be done from scratch, there is no pre installed vid or applied effects

  • You just did it right. Definitively.

  • nice work. loving it. how did you manage the text animation to animate like that?

  • Wow. Great work man!

  • how did you archive that kind of titles..like them a lot..what font did u used?

  • @ForeverFire when you type text then click onto the right hand effects and presents column, there is a little tab in the corner that opens up text presets, just modify them how you like in the animator and blur settings.

  • @ForeverFire i think the text is "Eurostyle"

  • Nice done!

Goodwork. with time lapse and everithing!

  • Thanks..

  • Whats the song, absoloutley loved it ;)

  • @PxlationStudios It is "Prague" by Trevor Rabin

  • the guitar kinda reminded me of dr.house's intro in europe.

  • this is sick man. great work.

  • @mingmaohyeah Thanks glad you liked

  • Très belle vidéo !

  • when you render in after effects, what settings do you use?

  • @ben2sk8 WMV HD file 1280x720 by whatever frame rate. Before editing in Premiere pro my workflow consists of quicktime clips, i personally have found WMV HD to be better quality and quicker to upload to you tube. Many would disagree but it works perfectly for me, the few times ive uploaded a quicktime clip i have changed it cos the quality was just not there, or the speed.

  • whoa how did you make it look so clear and crisp?

  • @FIRSTW0RLD just a bit of care over filming and colour correction

  • Very nice video. I really liked the text and the movie colors! tell me, is it best to use after effects as an editing program, og premiere? Thank you. 5/5

  • Thanks for the compliment! After effects is best for all the compositing work, titles and colour correction. Premiere is best for editing the clips against a soundtrack and setting out the final order of the sequence.

  • i wondering,. the color correction and the film look is better to make it in after effect or premier

  • @rollinsfrancis i always do it in after effects, you have a more detailed control over what you are trying to achieve. But...that is not sying you cannot do it in premiere....i only use premiere to edit the clips and add the soundtrack, i have never fully explored its capabilities, there is options for colour correction and fine tuning etc.

  • thanks for your answer.i should like ask you something. do you shotted at 50 ftp but did you worked the project in the sequence at 24 ftp or did you export at 24 only or both

  • i recorded with the setting 1080 50i sf, then converted it to 24fps at 1280x720. You might wonder why i did that when it records in 720p. I was just trying things out and the workflow was very smooth doing what i did and better quality.

  • Looks soo good. But explain, how you made it apart from the camera work?

  • Apart from the camera work i did the following in After effects.

    1.Titles

    2.vignettes

    3.Curves/ Levels adjustments (colour correction)

4.Masked areas and blurred to create a DoF look,or attempt to lol.

5.One scene has a sky replacement(which involves tracking and masking)

    6.Converted the frame rates

Edited in Premiere pro by cutting the clips and re arranging them to at least have some relation to the music's tempo and time. Most music is in 4/4 time so easy enough. Then rendered it out

  • Excellent work with a $300 camera. I just got one to compliment my 5dmk2. Hopefully I can get results as nice as yours!

  • Thanks BHF.I had a good think b4 just going out and recording.. wanted to be able to frame something worth looking at that was in some way interesting, this cam loves water/sea rocks and sand, that type of environment. Was all hand held so just a case of holding the cam steady and catching something interesting and good to edit.Recorded something recently and it just did nothing for me, looked good just not that interesting so its all about how the location inspires you.Still v happy with this cam

  • Thanks for the positive comments and feedback, the music is prague my trevor rabin

  • name of the music plz and you are awesome 5/5 :)))

  • absolutely breath taking...the color is phenomenal

  • uh, why would you say that? because cs4 products were used to make this? don't think that makes you a freak. anyway, nicely done
