I think what makes this show wasn't necessarily the raw power of the dogs but the power in their characters and message. This show was big on camaraderie. They weren't helplessly waiting around for Gin or Riki to do something. Everyone did their part. I felt in GDW that they relied too much specifically on Weed and glorified him. I didn't like that they made Orion. Enough with this lineage hierarchy. What about Jerome's kids? I would have liked to have seen one of them become leader.

And I don't know why Gin doesn't help Weed when he's being attacked by Hougen. He just stood there and let Weed die.

gng is awesome, and i think it is better than gdw. in gdw it showed human-haters as bad guys, even if they had a good enough reason to have revenge on humans (like kaibutsu) But in GNG it's not really like that, and the only parts that I dislike are how they portray dogfights (like the ones Benizakura fought in) as good, and how Jii-sama beat up a puppy, even if that helped Gin get tough.
Wow..... I must say...... Not as good as Wolfs rain, but then again wolfs rain had a disappointing ending......... But still this was fuckin epic......... amazing piece of art...... Kudos to the people who put this on youtube!

GDW was a real disappointment for me. >.< I mean, it was nice to see some of the old characters again like Smith [<3], Gin, Ben, and Cross and all, also the animation quality is pretty good. But the plot is really crap and Weed's character is annoying.

Weed isn't to kind. He didn't want to kill Hougen because he wanted to forgive him. But Hougen was evil and he wouldn't change no matter what, so that's why he died in the end.

This is my most all time favourite anime. I first watched the movie when I was 7 and right now it's brings back my memories.
Ginga Nagareboshi Gin is one of the many legendaries of Japanese Anime.

Jeez that Akakabuto IS a demon, he is half an inch from death and still keeps going. Finally, he goes down. I think Gin did remember Daisuke, but it wouldn't do for a pack leader to run up to a human to get petted would it? Thanks for uploading this.

I haven't even watched the complete series yet of this. It's kinda sad in that way, I really liked it. I got to see every single episode of GDW but not GNG. I'm really only on ep 9 which isn't up yet

WHy is Gin in GDW blue? "Gin" means "silver" you idiots whoever made GDW. -.- That's why his fur is SILVER! not BLUE!
Still, it was fun to watch GNG two times in one year. (I watched it first in January, then watched GDW, then watched this again) ^^

Don't expect much, GNG's 80's animation and plot were ten times better than the year 2000 Weed's animation and so called "plot".

In Gin, he is grey with brown eyes, but in Weed, the dad is the same color as weed, blueis whatever with blue eyes! ~gasp~
