  • This clip really needs to be about 5 seconds longer.

  • I was going to say those were terrible American accents but then I remembered Julia Roberts' attempt at an Irish accent in Michael Collins and I decided to keep my mouth shut

  • @blackhazzzard

The "rudest man" woman sounds exactly like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz

  • The thing is the American dies later in the film of a heart-attack going up there so he should have listened to Ray!!

  • The fact is Americans is considered "fat people" in this world. Denial wont help anything.

  • @cinemadman you are right...hes a welshman

  • the fat "american"guy is actually Welsh

  • You know you're just the rudest man! The *rudest* man!!

  • bunch of elephants!!!!! lol lol lol

  • When the guy says ''Been to the top of the tower?'', he does not even sound American. FAKER!! I'm not from America, but I know a fake accent when I hear one.

  • real americans wouldnt say "pardon me?" or "you're the rudest man." we would find more crass and stupid ways of saying both.

  • The way he just looks up at them. At least he was being honest, you don't get that nowadays.

  • the sad but frickin hilarious american truth

P.S should have kept the scene going a little longer cause thats when it gets funnier

  • bwahahahaha!!! I love this movie to pieces. boy, am i embarrassed to be american.

  • everyone in Canada is fucking hot bitch's

  • 6 overweight americans didn't like this video.

  • 6 americans disliked this video.

  • they are a little bit overweight...just a little!!

  • @yakult244 not just the "tower" NO AMERICANS SAY BEEN like BEAN.. to my knowledge (:

  • An American would say :"BIN to the top of the TOWUR?"

I love this movie though, favorite hitman movie of all time.

  • @yakult244 I thought so the first time I saw it too. I saw it on tv, so it was weird hearing him speak in a clearly non-american accent, then have ken turn and say "Americans, eh?" Even when she said the rudest man, it just didnt sound right, in my opinion.

  • hey guys i wouldnt go up there - its really narrow!

..any danger of not cutting the last 10 seconds of the scene

  • @yakult244 when he says "BEENE" is a dead giveaway too

  • Oops I mean brad pitt

  • On the subject of accents ie brits playing yanks or yanks playing brits...by far the best brit accent by an American is liv tyler in the film 'plunket and macleane'...with brad pity as an Irish pikey in the film 'snatch'

  • Okay, am I the only one who had no idea the guy was supposed to be American? That fake accent is atrocious.

  • @edmundog

How could you not know? The guy's wearing an NY cap, he's clearly a tourist, and he's as fat as Violet Beauregard post-blueberry.

  • @LiteratiMuffin Ken's fat and a tourist, and like this guy, has no American accent I can hear. So all the guy's got going for him is a hat.

  • You cut out the best part of the scene dammit.

  • well done on a shit clip....you blanked out the swear word and cut off the last 5 secs which make the scene...

  • ROFL AHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAH

  • this made me sad ha. ''ur a bunch of fukin elephants!'' what a dick lol

  • @TheGefro Its a movie -.-' ice on cowboy.

  • 0:10 priceless face

  • "Bruges (pronounced "broozh")"

no it fucking isn't. broozh sounds like bruise.

  • I love this bit

  • You should have kept the part where Ken says the same thing.

  • they went to go get a doughnut afterwards.

  • U shoulda put the part where the guardian says an american had a heart attack trying to get to the top of the tower :)

  • best part is when i watched this, it was the 66,666 view. gotta love it

  • THE RUDEST MAN!

  • iif you watch carefuly the movie you'll notice that after the tower is closed due to a fat guy who had an heart attack in the stairs.

  • I utterly loved the WHOLE movie, darkly brilliant, and the city looks a little dour

but also mystical............"LIKE A FAIRY TALE", not I want to go to Bruges

  • the head fat guy is actually Welsh, but he is definitely supposed to be an american

  • Stop denying it. Those three elephants were americans. If you dont like how the entire world look at you, stop eating garbage.

  • This is one of my favorite movies but there is one unrealistic part... how did the "American" understand what Colin was on about first go?

  • @MountieXXL I'm Canadian and I understood everything that was said in this movie, and Canadian and American dialects are 98% the same

  • @ALBGunner04 Don't take everything you read on the internet literally ^^

  • @Spellbinder888 I've seen quite a bit of comedy and watched every 5 second film. If you haven't heard of it, educate yourself, because they deliver lines well too. That aside, I'm 19 and don't really understand what you found wrong with my comment. Are you saying that the line WASN'T delivered perfectly?

  • @ericcartmansh YES!Even in winter!......you get more into the movie ;)

  • 366 steps...just did it today and no heart attack! I came over to Bruges because of this movie and because of this scene!

  • @ericamxpt01 worth it?

  • missed the best part "SCREW YOU MOTHER FUCKER!"

  • lol the way Colin looks up when these fat americans approach to him is also priceless. It's like 'Oh.. my.. goodness.. god...' XD

  • i love how in the end, an american died from heart.attack, haha

  • I have this on dvd and I love that part of the film it's so damn funny.

  • I was living under a rock when I rented this movie. How else can explain not seein' it before? Didn't have the foggiest what it was about. Had never seen Colin Farrell in a comedy. Laffed my arse off. After much beggin', pleadin' and a few tears the guy sold it to me. End of happy story!

  • hah. I love that scene. ;d

  • "C'mon, leave it fatty!" Is one of the most well-delivered lines ever.

  • @AveryHayes You need to get out to more stand up comedy buddy..... I forgive you if you're under 14 though.

  • only noticed the second time i watched it but later on when the tower is closed ealy the guard explians that a fat american had a heart attack on the stairs

  • 2 people don't like winding stairs.

  • You's A Bunch Of Fuckin Elephants! You know you are just the rudist man , the rudist man!

  • You's A Bunch Of Fuckin Elephants!

  • YOUR AN INANIMATE FUCKING OBJECT!!!

  • Loved this scene!!!

  • You realize that the "americans are fat jokes" are going to get old...have you taken a look at the porkers coming out of britian lately?

  • @blatantmisconception what the hell do you mean 'lately'? but other than that, yeah, good point.

  • and the fun thing is that Ken just throw it again in their faces xD

  • I can tell that guy's not even American. He sounds like an Irishman trying to put on an American accent.

  • @SuperThebruce well his accent is good enough to trick a newfie.

  • @SuperThebruce Yeah, his accent doesn't quite work, nor does the girl playing the daughter. The way she says "You're just the rudest man!" is very broad.

  • You missed out the best bit! When Ken also tells them to not go up the tower.

  • Thumbs up for colins fighting skills!

  • ken: We shall strike a balance between culture and fun.

Ray: Somehow I believe, Ken, that the balance shall tip in the favor of culture, like a big fat fucking retarded fucking black girl on a see-saw opposite... a dwarf.

    haha best part!

  • HAHAH THIS AND "If I grew up on a farm, and was retarded, Bruges might impress me but I didn't" is the best parts :D

  • you know youre just the rudest man!!!THE RUDEST MAN!!!!hahahahaaa i went ta see this just for that scene SOOOOOOOOOO FUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!

  • bahhahahaha, " ur just the rudiest man" bahaha

  • God, Colin Ferrell's eyebrows have lives of their own!

  • I loved that scene! :D

  • Colin Farrel shows us that the best way to avoid a fight with a fat guy is to run back and forth and in circles. God bless this man

  • "Two manky hookers and a rascist dwarf. I think I'm going home." Best line in the movie.

  • You're a bunch of Fking Elephants... LMAO!!!

  • One of the best scenes from one of the best movies I saw in my life.

  • lol

  • This movie is great and this scene is very funny!

  • If I were to kill a man, I'd do it in the alcoves...do you use this word, alcoves? YES! Nooks and crannies! Perhaps this is a better term to use than alcoves.

  • "it's a little narrow up there"

    "FUCK YOU MOTHERFUCKER!!"

  • she says "SCREW YOU MOTHER FUCKER" ;)

  • colins face at the end is so funny!

  • Was born and lived there for 39 years,i have a love hate relationship with Bruges, glad i'm living in Italy now!I'v seen this and lots of others shoot 2 years ago!Long wait between takes tough!

  • what could you hate about Bruges. i went there in December and loved it.

  • come on leave it fatty, lol

  • So, now the fat guy is ready to enter and visiting the town hall and climb the 120 steps to go on the top of the tower:-)

  • you missed th best part wen the women says fuck you mother fucker

  • OMFG! Favorite movie. lol, american...we are so dumb, and its so silly, everyone over here who is in that physical state theyre always in denial.

  • @GildedButterflys yup they claim food is an addiction but actually theyre just laazy fat bastards with no willpower!!!

  • American's isn't it?

  • Colin Farrell runs like George Costanza! Hilarious! The "alcoves" conversation was one of the best.

  • bean to the top of the tower?

  • awesome

  • one of colins best films, have to say anytime i watch it i laugh.....

  • lmfao love this film

  • true

  • Youse are a bunch of F**king elephants. LOL!! C'mon leave it fatty LOL!!-er

  • The funniest thing for me is, that he is actually right. I live in Bruges and it's really a bunch of stairs and a rubbish view.

  • I absolutely love Ray's face after Ken goes "What's all that about?"

  • Comment removed

  • According to IMDB, he's Welsh. No hat in the world will make up for not losing the accent.

  • He's american.

Hence the 'An american had a heart attack' at the end

  • the "Character" is meant to be American, no doubt about that, but the ACTOR playing the character did a terrible job trying to do the accent. That's all I am saying.

  • lol american

  • This clip was on youtube before but strangely removed :)

  • next part is just as funny

  • "Oh, you dont want to go up there, it's just windy stairs."

    "F#CK YOU!"

  • lol

  • dead funny!! i seen this at pictures & cant wait 2 see it tom nite on sky premiere!!

  • colin's walking while the fat guy is like running. lmao

  • It's funny because it's true.

  • This is definitely one of my favorite movies of all time.

  • colin's funny

  • fat jokes are r r

    lol.

  • hey the best part is cut off. "I wouldn't go up there, it's really narrow..." "Screw you mother fucker" But anywho, great movie. a must see

  • why do all the clips for this movie have the best parts removed? and whats with the sensoring?

  • That's true i just watched where ken meets the dwarf and it left out a great part.

  • what a great movie this was though =)

  • hahahaha americans..

  • Don't mean to insult / be ignorant here - but Farrell's accent here reminds me of that of the Geordies. I remember we had a guy from Belfast in our course and I first thought he was a Geordie (all in Newcastle). Turns out he was Irish and that I have yet to learn a lot about the different English accents.

  • Funny thing is, the obese people they have playing the "Fat Americans" obviously aren't really Americans. Their accents are very poorly done.

  • yeah they might not be americans but we all know they are americans LOL

  • @ajdnjasknjdnsajkndas Yeah, because I've never seen a fat European (Note extreme sarcasm).

  • @GUMMYBEAYUH

And I've never seen a more thin country then the United States...(note extreme sarcasm)

  • @ajdnjasknjdnsajkndas They're Americans. Yankee hat.

  • @ajdnjasknjdnsajkndas Ooh me accent's slipping!

  • great movie!

  • One of the best scenes of the movie. Too bad they cut out the next 20 seconds of the scene when his friend tells them not to go up the stairs either because they're narrow :P

  • I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!! it was really dam funny

  • If they would have used real americans it would have been even funnier!

  • ha ha ha go on the irish!

lol i love it when the fat man is chasing colin farell!!

  • Great scene, but they should've at least used some American extras.. they're obviously not from the USA.

  • You gotta love European humor, I'm American and I can't get enough of it.

  • The brits have a great sense of humour.Kinda twisted though lol

  • The Brits do have a great sense of humour. But in reference to In Bruges: Martin McDonagh - Irish; Brendan Gleeson - Irish; Colin Farrell - Irish.

  • True - but remember the Brits and the Irish aren't completely separate cultures

  • yes they fucking ARE completely separate cultures! if yous have never been to either place then how can you be sayin such a thing.

  • i'm from london, i love london, and i used to live in dublin, and i love dublin so i think i'm in quite a position to comment. and remember history?

  • oh i remember history. 700 years of tyranny and oppresion from a foreign occupation does not make us similar.

  • i knew you would say that. but actually it does, foreign occupation obviously insists on other cultures, it imprints itself. that is the way the world works my friend

  • ah, it forces itself upon someone else. So what you're saying is that the english government is a bunch of 700 year old rapists. Now aside from Dublin and the North, the rest of ireland recognizes no similarity to any of england. The rest of the country calls dublin 'little london' anyway. That said, i love dublin, its a brilliant city. But i love the rest of the country all the more and the one thing that you lot could never manage to do was to take away our spirit and replace it with yours.

  • dont say it like that, like i should feel guilty for the work of stupid men who lived hundreds of years ago. we're not all wankers just because of what happened

  • hundreds of years ago? some of them less than 100 years ago and some still alive with those same sentiments. In fact, it was said once that the irish had it worse in our own country than the black slaves did in america. no, you're not all wankers, i've got some british friends, but they don't make silly comments about ireland being the same culture as them. besides, throughout history any culture that came to ireland ended up becoming more irish than they were their own anyway. not the other way

  • i never said it was the same culture, stop being ignorant - read my comments again

clearly we are not the same culture, but you cannot deny the closeness of the two cultures geographically and historically

  • Ehh yes they are! Irish!

  • Martin Mcdonagh is from camberwell south east London all be it of irish parents like myself

  • Haha, I love Colin's face at the end!!
