aion beats WoW's ass, mostly due to the fact that it is not as old as a dinosaur and they keep it well looking and not so cartoonish but i think that COH looks better the way they made it due to the fact that when you think heroes you think comic books and thats what the game pretty much is.

@matthewalcen depends on what you like, city of heroes for the theme and the special effects for powers, wow for pve, auto attack (heh), some pvp (i dunno since its the only one of these three ive pvp'ed in) still, try a trial for each of them (havent tried aion thats why i didnt write about it)

I love this game, been playin' 3 1/2 years, and i'm a picky gamer so thats a pretty fantastic achievement. This is one of those games you can play for 8 hours and not get bored, and my favorite part is how big the environment actually is. The thing I like the most is how it eases you into the game at first so you don't feel overwhelmed at the amount of amazingly creative content, but still manages to keep you very entertained. BUY THIS GAME! :D

@adrius I remember the "God Fire Tanks" of issue 4. A friend of ours had a toon called Dante. Did the Dreck farm before they put a timer on it. Dante use to level the map by himself. Statesman (forget the Dev's name) is the guy running Champions now. He was the one that started all the nerfs in CoH. Have a friend that tried Champions and he wasn't impressed. We've both played CoX now for close to 5 years. I don't game very much so that's saying something. CYA in game maybe. Peace

If it's actualy network lag, then that's your internet connection.

If it's gameplay lag as in choppy framerates, then you just need to update your computer graphics.

Every game has its drawbacks, but this game offers unparalleled amounts of customizations and personalization, fun, action packed gameplay, an easy leveling curve, a de-emphasizeation of the stupid loot grind you find everywhere else, and it's incredibly well balanced. A team of 8 ANYTHING can do basically any content in the game, you aren't restricted to NEEDING tank/healer/DPS. It's a nice bonus, but any team of competent players will do.

Laid back Action RPG of the MMO world. It's worth it.

Yea I tried Guild Wars, and it was fun the first 20 lvl's or so, but I have just bought this game and tried it out for a few hours, and it's really fun to create a character and choose powers, looks, armor and stuff. I haven't played it so much though, but it seems like a really fun game to play, and I hope they will raise the top lvl to 60 at some point.

No no no! No raising levels! This game's philosophy is to give us more STUFF to do, not more LEVELS to grind! It's more fun that way :) If you want to grind levels that bad, as you've seen, there's so many possible character combinations, you can keep yourself busy for a long time :)

The game is great :) Don't play on Freedom, it's full of idiots. Virtue has a lot of roleplayers, but they're good players, and most of them are polite. Second most populated server behind Freedom.

Where's the main place people usually hang out at? It always seems Atlas Park is crammed to the brim not sure about the villain side.

Failure in design Villain Side, as they didn't make an easily accessible noobie zone that people would want to hang in. Cap au Diable seems like the most populated place in general. It's like Talos Island on the hero side, it has basically everything.

why dont you transfer to the freedom server it is much more popukated and if you make an epic villain AT look up for a member of the Villain Group called V.E.A.T.S and they will let you in.... they are a pretty good and decent group of ppl that you can do missions with until you get to lvl 35 and have access to cimerora and then you can get your help from them...but gl finding a good team on virtue

Romans. We've traveled back in time to near the end of the roman empire, a time purported as "the Origin of Power" where all super powers originated from. It's a cooperative zone between Heroes and Villains, and this Task Force is to help liberate the area and ensure that super powers still exist in the future. There are some obvious in jokes about Spartans though, specifically how Engineers and Surgeons are designed :p

Honestly, the video is very low graphical quality -- the game looks very good if you have a modern high res monitor with the options maxed. I was skeptical about it and I am having a blast...and I don't even like comic book genre games.

There are no bad powersets, but they are all very different, so it depends on your play style :) Experimentation is key, or knowing what you want out of it. Electrical secondary is actually very good.

No one can decide for you whether or not you will like something :) Give it as try, I think it's a ton of fun :) There's SO MUCH diversity in this game, in the ability to customize your character on every imaginable level.. that's where a lot of it comes from. On top of that, it's much more an action RPG than a lot of other MMOs, VERY fast paced combat, especially above level 20-25 or so.

My main chat window is all chat channels except Help and Arena. It also has Black Market/consignment House.

The one up in the corner is Window 1. It has System, Rewards, Error, and Black Market/Consignment. If I want to check anything that went there, I just expand it for a moment an then collapse it again.

Window 2 is uaually hidden, it is dedicated to the Help Channel.
