Lousiest game of the series. Leave it up to the British and Americans in Climax to fuck up a good franchise. Graphics are clearly awful rendering the initial installment to actually look better. The story is completely bogus in the sense it rips off the first story just in a different setting. The game play is completely horrid as I think even if Helen Keller was alive today with no arms I think she would have just as good of a chance as anybody in with functioning this controlling style.

i didn't think that doom 3 or f.e.a.r. were particularly scary. startling, yes, but not scary. there is nothing to really be too afraid of when u have a clear advantage over the enemy. when all you can do is run as fast as you can, then its a truly scary, psychological experience.

I guess that developers think that cuddling is more scary. Or they just did that because of the CENSORSHIP. ive finished both the origins and shattered memories. This game is all about messing with your mind and trying to get you depressed. origins had more action in it maybe because of the weapons and stuff. shattered memories is more like an interesting movie that just tries to depress you, though there are no weapons but it was still good, i really enjoyed running through all those doors, breaking stuff and flowing with the story...

Can I just clarify something? This was a British game-in that it was developed by a British studio. It was overseen and published by Konami America, but the only fully American game was Homecoming. 0rigins started out in the US, but it was rushed off to Britain after they started developing a RE4 ripoff. The upcoming Downpour is being developed by the Eastern-European Vatra Games. If anything the series has become European.

The monsters change according to your personality traits, so no, they're not the same. C. You're capturing lost memories as well as broadening the story with that "god damn camera", so I don't see why you're complaining about that. And D. It's a horror game, as it should be: You're out running helpless in a fucked up world.

I think that these guys had a good idea. Kinda want to try this game out now. Didn't like the idea of no combat, but hey this may be pretty cool. But if they do something like this, it should be more idk cinematic or more like Heavy Rain for example. I still think they should have combat, makes the game a little more idk crazier, but they shouldn't put an emphasis on the combat like what they did in Homecoming.

I believe they are making Silent Hill more "realistic" in terms on how you "confront" those creatures/monsters/beasts. I mean, who DOESN'T run away from ugly zombies this days? It's not like one can just grab a M-16 rifle under a couch. Let's be real and just appreciate it.

@kristarnold85 They could at least make it integrated with the investigative gameplay, not totally separate it from it so that players are fairly warned whenever monsters are about to appear. It takes away the suspense, the tension and the horror. It's a good game, I liked it. But Alan Wake did it way better.
