@tompen6 Not that I know of. Xia Zhang found that cannabis (cannabinoids) increase hippocampal neurogenesis. Also the effects are highly acute. I'm 15, I've been smoking for a year. I think it's not really age but maturity and discipline that matters. I've seen both people my age AND adults act immature with cannabis. You gotta respect the plant. But I think alcohol is WAY more damaging to young brains. Yet it seems to be way more popular.

Again, it's mostly maturity which is reflected by development of the prefrontal cortex of the brain as well as a multitutde of social, psychological and emotional factors. There are some adults who really shouldn't smoke either.
