As I recall, it was 17-0 Miami, then Bob Griese got hurt and the Colts rolled. Dolphins were 7-1 at the time. What a difference Griese would have made that season down the stretch. Good Colts team though.
You know, it's funny. I STILL get pumped and excited about these clips, but I can hardly watch a quarter of toda'ys games. Nothing exciting to me about overpaid, lazy, princesses with bad attitudes, guns, and rap sheets.
Its funny how much passion exists in Baltimore. Thousands show up at the airport to welcome back the Shake N Bake squad from a REGULAR SEASON game and in Indy only 11 people show up to welcome back their team from the Super Bowl.
if you mean a perfect home record against the miami dolphins then you have that right. if its overall youre talking about thats wrong because the dolphins beat the colts 17-6 in the second game of 1977.
I remember that during the three year period that the Colts won the AFC Eastern Division championship with Bert Jones at quarterback, they posted a perfect record against the archrival Miami Dolphins. This perhaps is the most impressive fact about the team during this period.
I love my Ravens but can remember my Dad God Bless His Soul use to always talk about Bert Jones he use to tell me & my brother how Bert Jones could throw that pill.

Bert Jones was sort of a redneck John Elway, but w/o the team that Elway enjoyed.

Glenn Doughty looked more like a running back than a receiver.

heard Fascenda mention Robert Pratt early in the clip, he went to my high school. Only NFL player ol' St. Chris ever produced.

didn't the Colts also call themselves the Sack Pack, around this era as well?

@kushisaac Yeah they were called the "Sack Pack", but Joe Erhmann called the defensive line the" Looney Tunes".

Lydell Mitchell, man I had forgotten about that guy. NFL in the 70's my favorite era.

i read in that three year period that bert jones threw for 59 touchdowns and just 28 interceptions. gaudy numbers if you ask for my opinion.

Especially for the mid-70's.
