  • You can tell he's reading it.

  • A technician changes your oil! Every time I hear technician - I cringe! How about Radiographer?

  • @Multipath

your a idiot''''' technician is the proper term used for them''''' only a radiologist gets the proper naming u moron

u really must be sick of ur life who knows maybe u were meant to be a cashier but didnt know what was good for u dummy

  • XRAY TECH FOR SHORT? THATS COOL TOO RIGHT GUYS?!!! LOL...

  • he isn't comfortable talking about this subject because he has no idea what it entails! We are technologists, not technicians.

  • TECHNOLOGIST! WE ARE RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGISTS! NOT TECHNICIANS

  • TECHNOLOGIST!

  • Hey Mark!!!!You are an idiot!!!!You should pull out your websters and learn the difference between technologist and technician. What an insult.

  • is a radiographer the same as an xray technician, also is this an in demand field, i have a 4 yr degree but the degree i have sucks

  • i study also radiologic technologist here in philippines for 3yrs of associate in radiologic technology and have a training in hospital for 1yr.

  • WTF TECHNOLOGIST.. IGNORANCE..

  • Two or Four year programs? What about these vocational schools I've been reading about that only takes 8-12 months? Are they legitimate?

  • The can be most school's offers a fast track program so that's why it's 8-12 months instead of 2-4 years

  • Oh ok. Does this effect employers decisions on highering? Also, do you know if the amount of schooling effects salary?

  • Yeah that's what I want to know. Let me know if you find anything out. I'm in California how about you?

  • I live in Florida. I'm enrolled in an eight month programmed now. The program it self is primarily Medical Assisting. However after completion of the eight months I will be a certified MA with speciality in X-Ray techology. This is also considered an assoicates degree. But to answer your question.. No it doesn't really affect the placement rate. It might effect the salary, because most vocational schools only offer limited scope programs opposed to radiological technology programs in college.

  • So it's better to go to a regular college? Thanx for the info....

  • so how long does it take to become an x-ray tech?? is two years of college and then one year in the program?? or it's one year in college and one in the program??

  • @JAL927 my program is about a year to year and a half worth of basics, and then a two year program.

  • "Technician" fix and works on radiographic equipment.

    "Technologist" take radiographic images.

I think he has his facts mixed up.

That's like calling his job title "Secretary" when he is an "Administrator"

  • is this an enjoyable job?is the program hard

  • isn't it like a 14 months program? not a full two years for x-ray technician?

  • I'm impressed with this info it helps
