i dont know who is the one to blame, i think its collective responsibility ...the people and the government..there's no competent government or lack of discipline..
Now you have your driver's license so off you go. The only rule to follow is blast your horn to let someone know you are coming. You must know how to turn left, right and move the car forward or reverse. You must know how to hit the brakes and most of all have a working horn.
Stuntdancer, I do not believe that any person should have a driver's license. I believe private sectors or any form of business; companies that only implement a very certain basics of driving from the government. But the rest would be at the hands of private companies that advocate safety rules of driving and of their clients. Much of the rules is implemented by the government, and they're not held accountable. Its very frustrating to go a government agency though. So much corruptions there!
Indeed, not everyone can learn the proper driving rules and regulations. That means if someone is dumb enough to learn, then they have no right to be in the road and put peoples lives at risk.
If corruption is eliminated, we will have a better future, not just the traffic situation but every aspect of our daily lives.
We live in a society that is so jaded from all the bs that our government has thrown at us.
Not everyone can learn from driving rules and regulations. I dont see this a reason! Each person has its habit of driving. If someone is dumb(quoted by you) enough to learn, there not interested of learning driving! It's NOT because they have no rights, its their decision!
You cannot eliminate corruption. There are the roots of the problem, to fix the system. Understand how inefficient ways & corruptions, they co-exists the same time! We live in our society, that erodes our personal freedom!
If it's their decision to drive the way they, does it make sense if someone kills another person because it is their decision to do so?
The reason why we all attended school is to learn the basic rules of life, learn how to follow or lead. Without guidance, it will be a chaotic place to be.
Corruption can be fixed, as long as everyone are willing to make a change. Our society is already jaded. For more than 2 decades, all we know to a "work-around" to the current issues.
Why would you let a person to drive a car if he has no brain of driving at all, and could kill people? Common sense please! The reason why I don't want government meddling everybody "how to" learn to drive is centralization of governance. And it is now & until now, its one of the contributing factor why our economy is weak and it erodes our personal choices.
Our moral society is being degraded and discredited by our own immoral government. Guidance of truth can break the matrix of deception!
You totally got me wrong my friend. My point is, to get rid of idiots from our streets. Really simple but hard to do since we have as we all know... a retarded government.
I do believe you want the government to act on your behalf or your ideology because of neglible acts from these people? Your point is to get rid of these people. This is an act of agression against their very own decisions of life! You have no boundaries against these people! What we have right now is an enlarging government and bureacrats! That is why corrupt exist & corrupt power corrupt absolutely! Why? Because we rely so much for governments assitance, whether in economic, monetary, & so on!
On my behalf? Dude, all I want is a clean and un-corrupt government. You are totally taking my views backwards. Bad government affects everyone...our way of life, the way we think and the way we act. I agree with you that it is a rotten government and that is the reason why people do "the way they do". It is an after effect of bad governance. By the way, did I mentioned in my previous post that my 15 year old relative got hit by a jeepney driver with no insurance? His life was taken... killed!
The way I see it, people are just patching the problems instead of fixing and finding the right solutions. We (people/government) need a change,a make-over. If I could compare this to a tooth ache... it needs a root canal.
If everyone can step back and look at the BIGGER picture, you will see that it is all inter-connected. We blame the government indeed but are we as a nation doing something about it? At least you and me are having this discussion while others keep doing what they are used to.
Our politicians are a bunch of incompetent. They are not capable of serving our interest and as a nation of republic. Average people cannot do anything about the Big picture here. Even if they know, they'll get ignore. Beyond that theres that very few men ready to make a change. A change that will limit goverment bureacracy and armored with knowledge & sound decisions in a constitutional manners. As always, ..."truth shall set you free." -Jesus Christ. The times is right now to tell the truth!
I cannot blame the entire population. Im aware a very few people knows it. They're patching the problems to get incentives from their selected politicians. While corrupt is still one of the cause of it. I do believe we need a make-over, the make-over is to reform the government and limit the power. It needs a root canal, yes and this is the Constitutional Republic we must restore. Also, its time for every individual to wake up and vote a politicians that has a high respect of our rule of law!
No insurance because it is too expensive. This is one of the impact for not allowing competition of thousands of healthcare insurance. Instead of putting every businesses and investors to stimulate the economy through free-markets. What we have now is regulations, and mandated policies towards any investors/businesses. WIth this only few thrive and the costs of healthcare, goes up because of government intervention of healthcare. No Competition, government will rule what policies and procedures!
With corruption, nothing will happen in terms of law & order in this once tropical paradise.
Imagine, to get a driver's license you don't even have to study any laws and regulations. All you need is some extra cash and they (corrupt public servants) will do it for you.
Theres no interest of studying any laws and regulations when it comes to driving. Because the profits and safety is at the hands of the government. Instead of competitions on who will be on the top of level of safety when it comes to driving lessons, that should belonged to a private companies, and many others. That is why corruption cannot be avoided when it is centered at the agency of the government. Just to get a permit, might take you a weeks or months. Ridiculous! Legalize competitions!!!
Hopefully one day Jeepneys will be banned and all vehicles run on electric batteries or solar power.Get rid of the Jeepneys and theres your pollution problems gone. Also honking car horns should also be banned like in western countries u will get fined if u use the horn un neccesarily.
If you gonna get banned jeepneys! Who will provide them jobs, if there company is being regulated and mandated not to run their jeepnes, where most "mamang tsuper" get their money? Pollution comes from the "mamang tsuper" only? Come on, who are you Al Gore? CSNU5, you think all western people loves when there is regulation? That is why I dont like America, too much regulations and mandatory! Look what happened, there financial institutions and public educations! Stop this socialists ideas Ok!
Jeepneys, tricycles, pedicabs... all reason why most people decide not to finish school. That means you have a bunch of illiterate people behind the wheels with no regards to human lives. Just a note... my nephew got hit by a jeepney driver... no insurance of course. My nephew died last week after being in a coma. I think his death was avoidable if that driver decided to stop at the "red" light. My nephew was 15 years old.
Ang mga tsupers are trying to make a living! The reason that people decided to not to finish school ay dahilan sa sistema ng government! That means people cannot make money, thru this people have to lower their standard of living, poor, an alike! "No regards to human lives" I dont such thing exist, if walang bulok sa sistema! If you cannot afford insurance, why insured? Condolence sa nephew mo! It because driver-schools are not affordable & also centered on the government approval and regulation

Multiply this scenario into thousands of drivers all over the country and you get chaos. It's a cat & mouse playhouse.
Cops would often arrest anyone on made-up laws and most of the time traffic signs are posted on places you would not expect.
