hey, the only thing that would help a bit was to clean to spark-plugs...

Great Long cranking . Something must be wrong whit that car . But then when japanese cars gets older they use to be hard to start. Is it a diesel ? Did he use the glowplugs ?

Its was not a diesel. Everytime the plugs got wet or cold it was pretty tricky to get it started...
