i think that the Titanic will be there forever even if it is just a big rust pile, titanic is one of those ships thats storys will never leave and it will stick around long after its gone too. We need to get as much as we can out of the ship and does anyone know how the stern is doing? or is it just the bow?
@77elvistheking Raise a half a ship with over 80% of its structural strength and integrity deteriorated and destroyed eh? And lift it 2 1/2 miles? It will never leave the seabed. Sad but true. It will become a rust stain in the mud for the next 150+ years then disappear. Don't sit in front of your big screen waiting for next years; "Raise The Titanic". ;) BTW. It Sank on 16/4/1912. Hit the berg on the 15th.
I saw a site selling dives to Titanic, 30,000 USD week trip onboard the research vessal, and you go down on an actual sub dive. Very dangerous though, supposidly have to sign a waiver that if something happens, your family cant sue. Safer getting launched into orbit at 17,000 MPH and spending a week in space, then visiting Titanic. Because of the massive pressures at 2 miles below. Such pressure, if the sub failed, would crush your skull in like a sledge hammer smashing a tomato...
@forwardbias Yes not even a second and bye bye. This video shows very very good actually AWESOME video here,,much better cameras then James Cameron used,,but i Love Ghosts of the abyss,,it was better then The last mysteries of the Titanic.Have you seen it ?Greetings ;)
I don't remember how I became fascinated of the titanic wreck, but I remember that I've been fascinated by this wreck since third grade. And I'm now 21 years old. Thats a long time to be fascinated by something so devastating but yet so jaw dropping amazing!! I made it my life mission to explore the wreck before my life ends. If you think I'm crazy, fine. But once you set your mind to achieve a goal, you have the potential to succeed. Just a little life lesson for the day!! : )
@TravTravIstyTV If only i could Speak to Ballard to tell him that ill give him every penny ive got in the bank,my homes, cars just to take me for once to see the wreck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
just looking at those dark windows :( upsetting knowing once there were people walking those halls in there best clothes the lights lighting up the ship and then them running up the halls screaming and shouting , people crying :/ now looking at it its empty dark and eery :(
@AIDANDPIP It should be, the letters "TITANIC" were carved into the steel plates. I remember seeing an old documentary when the crew of a submarine brushed of the rusticles covering the letters with a broom. There was still paint visible in them, then.
@AIDANDPIP Yeah, it´s kind of amazing. :) Have you seen the Turksih Baths by the way? They´re in a very good condition. Mostly because they were in the area were the ship was flooded quite calmly compared to the stern.
what i find amazing is that if u look at ship from like 60 years ago under water its already lookin like the Titanic which has been underwater for 98 years because of depth, light, and oxygen
did they actually found both parts of the Titanic (as far as im concernet it was breaken into 2 pieces, I've heard they found one but never heard about the second one)?
These images are amazing .. will be interesting to see the entire ship with such clarity and quality. It has been 98 yrs since the Titanic went down - I imagine there will be a lot going on to remember the sinking on April 14-15 2012. There has been a titanic movie about every decade or such, wonder if anything is currently in the works. Again, what amazing pictures of the Bow section ....
Why the ship is called as female in English ? Greetings from Fortaleza (Brazil)

Think of that.If a terrorist has 10 nuclear bombs and says if you dont raise Titanic i will destroy america,russia,japan......
The only way out for the countries to survive is the raising of the ship.
Im pretty sure that Titanic will be raised in less than a year.
Anyway i respect the deads and officer Murdoch,Wylde are all heroes.
But it really gets me every time i see this ship{along with Britannic}rusting away and leaving us nothing but sand and some depri pieces.
15/4/1912 RIP !!!!!!!!!
