I forgot and left cell running one time while I went into a shop for 10 minutes to get milk & bread. When I came out I turned the key and van just started first go. Nothing blew up, no problem. Maybe with a simple carbie system there is nowhere for gas to accumulate and explode. Sorry to hear about your intercooler though, sounds pricey.
Yes, it was pricely and this whole HHO project has cost me at least 1000 dollars for a bad kit from a water4gas guy which didn't work as specified and one year of me trying myself afterwards with no increase in mpg whatsoever. So lost money and lost time. But I have learned a lot of HHO though.. I made a kit from a motorcyclebattery which had a mmw of 6,3. But no results on my tdi, and no results on an old volvo, who should be easy to get gains with. I really don't understand why I don't succeed
If you have a fuel injected vehicle you will need a efie circuit as the computer that runs the fuel management will sense the leaner burn, higher O2 sensor value and it will inject more fuel to compensate.
Maybe a market for selling to people with hard to start engines in those colder climates. I had a boat outboard that was sometimes hard to start, damn 2 strokes. Think it was just stale fuel half the time, wish I had know about this stuff back then, would have saved some grief at the boat ramp.
Just set this up in van. I will keep track of mileage over the next few weeks and post figures once I have done enough mileage to give reliable statistics. This is my old van so I dont use it as often as the new one, I only used it as it has the old carburator set up so it should be simple to test fuel economy without fiddleing with an effie.
hey man, did you know your steering wheel is on the wrong side your car ??? I think you got a legit warranty claim on that ... something like that could get you all turned around ... you might even go driving off down the wrong side of the road ...
LOL! Yeah I have been known to drive down the wrong side of the road even on those rare occasions when Im sober. "Warranty claim!" Now you tell me! my old work van is over 10 years old, so its a bit late for the warranty claim now
This is a petrol engine normally asperated (Carbie) I had done this test several times before filming. The engine is quite old on this work van approx 190000kms and it uses a little oil and blows a bit of smoke when idleing for a while . Interestingly the smoke isnt there much when the hydrogen is on.
That is a pressure release valve on top of the dryer unit. The top pops open if there is over pressure or a flashback. the silver wire is made of spring steel and it pushes the ball back into the valve opening once pressure is released resetting the valve. It works quite well I have tested it extensively.
Explode? diesel i have had trucks for over 15 years and never seen one backfire yet

Be careful with starting the cell before starting the car! It can explode!!! I lost my intercooler on my turbodiesel that way.... :(

Ok. The tdi has long hoses from airintake through turbo and intercooler to intake manifold, so there is enough room to build up gas...

nice work, how many LPM is your cell producing ?
dahduke 3 years ago
It was producing 1.2L / min but I changed the electrolyte level and now its at about 900ml / min at about 14 amps.

on a diesel turn the key to 'on' for 5sec then crank her over. This gives the glow plugs time to get red hot.

What is that round thing with the silver wire screwed to the top of it?
