I have a 5 year old pomeranian, went away for about 8 months and had to leave him with a friend, when we came back his hair was almost completely gone on his stomach, shoulders, & sides. What was the cause of your pom's hair loss? Just trying to get a few possibilities before I bring him to the vet.. thanks
My dog's hair loss also started on his side, stomach & shoulders. He has had many test done, been on steroids & the only thing the vets can figure out is that it is some kind of thyroid problem.

What are you talking about? Your pretty stupid. We have given our dog a good home for 13 years. Paid thousands of dollars in vet bills & loved him to death. Your the disgrace to our our human race. Punk!!!!!!!!!!!!
He's old now. Blind in one Eye & only has 2 teeth left. He started losing his hair when he was about 2 years old. Still functions very well though , except for his cough.
Thanks for the simpathy! The Vet doesn't think he has a collapsed trachea from the looks of his x-rays. He's on medication though. A friend gave him to us for a wedding present years ago. Back then he looked like the picture though. She paid $800 for him @ a pet store. Think she got ripped off, but we love him to death!
Ah, no wonder. Some pet shops purchase their dogs from puppy mills or irresponsible breeders who only care to make a fast buck. It's quite sad, really. :( I'm so glad that you still love him to death!! :) May he spend many more happy days with you! ^-^

@namdor11 He got glacoma in one eye. He just passed away in Aug. He would have been 15 in Sept.

your dog does have a collapsed trachea! the best thing you need to do is relax him when he's losing his breath like that!!!!
