Waist training corsets need to have at least 24 boning channels with spiral and steel boning (spiral for the curves, steel for front and back), have 3 layers of good fabril (like coutil for example) and be preferably an underbust. It's not any random corset that is proper for WT.
Your corset probably gives you no support. You have to search for a "waist training corset" and make sure it has a lot of boning with 3 layers of fabric. Also you have to measure your body properly :)
thx 4the vid and i guess the corset goes hand2hand with a diet, cause i used 2 have the one faja de yeso i don't know how to say in English but is pretty good and you had that for 2 weeks and eat small amout of meals and alot of green tea,no exercises and after that your ribs close=)
i watched your first corset vid and im freaked out i just ordered from them this morning but from their actual website hopefully they get it right anyways if it hurts your back then its not made right or you havent broken it in i recommend lookin at bishonenrancher here on youtube. she is awesome. late comment i kno. hope your still waist training :)
I know it's a rather late response, but if you still have issues with your back and the corset, or any new ones you may have, pay mind to how open it is in the back. there shouldn't be more the about 3-4 inches, other wise the corset doesn't give any support to your back...sting/ribbon isn't the most supportive item in the world. Learn from bluemisstiger and bishonenrancher, they have a lot of great information to offer! Happy lacing!
I find back pain with corsets is related to your core muscles. if you work on strengthening them you will be more comfortable. although it could be other things. idk, goodluck :D
@MaddMatch also steel boned corsets that have flat steel bones in the back help posture and should help your back not hurt, they make you sit up right. :]
@tehEricar the only reason i have back pain is because I have an underdeveloped disc in my spine, so i rely a lot on my stomach muscles, corsets mess with that, The corsets I own are professionally made, and once i break them in they are pretty comfortable. :) But thanks i will check if their boning is how you describe.
btw that wasn't meant to read bitchy. just... informing you if you care lol. when I can be bothered i am genuinely going to go and have a closer inspection of the boning of my corsets :)
i had the same thing with the crap boning, and the supposed waist training corset i got had no waist tape, new one should turn up in a couple days, so i hope this oe is better. But i have slept in mine many times, its great, and my back is always better after wearing it for a few hours
@TheKatIsBackAgain as compared to you sitting in front of your webcam drinking a soda and saying nothing? its called a nervous reaction darling. you know the type you get when you actually talk into a camera.
It could also be that the corset is not custom made to you. If you have an asymmetric body then it could be causing the pain also. You should NOT be hurting. If you are, something is not correct. It could be all the things that bishonenrancher mentioned from the chair, to wearing too tight, to not having the corset seasoned. It could also be from your body getting used to the corset. You need to take it slow at first so that you can season the corset and avoid hurting yourself and damaging it.
Part2: When you have tense or knotted muscles they often hurt as they try to relax (think of a painful massage) but it gets better with time. Taking it slow for short periods will help train your muscles to not "fight" the corset and will get easier. Just make sure it's not misaligning your spine bc that can make things worse. Also, squishy chairs and beds hurt my back after awhile. Getting a straight-backed chair for your room when you sit will help, as well as avoiding crossing your legs. :)
Sorry to hear your corset is hurting your back. Wearing a corset for only 2-3 hours at a time in the beginning is just as important for you as it is to your corset. The pain could be from pulling the corset too tight at first (try a reduction of only 1-2 inches at first) or having tense muscles in the first place or misalignment. Maybe take a picture of your profile with and without a corset and see if it's drastically affecting your natural stance (not just better posture but the curvature).

The back pain could stem from your corset being "off the rack" but it could also be from you tightening it to much..

You should really plan out your videos. This could have been condensed into a three minute video if you didn't babble on so much.

Dude, it was from a built-in laptop camera that doesn't have a microphone. Get the pole out of your ass. Thanks for the free views though, lolololol.

What do you know, I bought one just the other day from target!
I must say, I'm pretty unimpressed with it, though. I might return it and try buying a life from Dolce & Gabanna. That should make me happier.
TheKatIsBackAgain 1 year ago
@TheKatIsBackAgain You need to have one made to your individual measurements or they will be unconformable.

@tehEricar I should of clarified, I ment if you plan on tightlacing.
Celticswynd 6 months ago
Back ache is normal when getting used to a corset, irrespective how tight it is.
I have been training girls to lace tight for 20 years now and also lace Myself.
Custom corsets are okay if you have a wierd shape, but most reputable corset makers will make corsets that fit, remember you have laces to adjust it!
