Last time I bought .22WMR I made a larger order from SportsmansGuide, I think it was 1000rd case, less than 8cents/round I believe, hence why I bought so much and it'll last me for years. Feed them into my Marlin 14-rd tubefed rifle, they're quite accurate out to 150-200yd depending on wind. Effective against a deer to about 100-125yd.

oh man dont ever get a paddle holster......put it on your hip and try to rip it off it will break off so fast if some one tries so mug you from behind
Your local place is ripping you guys off. My local gun shop has 9mm FMJ various brands for $10.95 to $12.95 for 50 rds. I bought 500 rds of 22 LR there for $15.00. I don't know what the comparison is between Magnums and LR are though.
I bought 100 rds of Remington 9mm at my local Walmart for $20.00. It of course was a pain in the butt to actually find it in stock though. I had to call like every day.
I live in Minnesota, and I bought the same blazer 9mm 124 grain ammo a few days ago at my local Fleet Farm for $9.80 per box of 50, and they had a huge amount of it in stock. Didn't see any .22 mag there this time, but I believe FF had it for something like 12 bucks a box last time I looked.
Walmart still has the best deal around here at 8.95 per box of 50 brass case Federal 9mm, but good luck finding any, so practically speaking, FF has the lowest prices with the aluminum case Blazer.
walmart is the cheapest less than 10$ for a 50 rd box of 9 mm here in ca but thats when u can find it, they are always out and if the have it u can only buy 6 boxes.
dude i can readily get a box of 50 9mm target rounds for around 12-13 bucks in GA, and I thought ammo prices here were high. Jesus. 25 bucks for 50 9mm target rounds is insane. I'm surprised you can afford to shoot
I got 1000 rounds of 9mm Brown Bear (russian) 115g FMJ for $228.04 and that's WITH delivery (UPS Ground) from ammunitiontogo (dot) com
That was at the beginning of Oct this year. They are cheap steel case and I haven't had a chance to go out to the woods and shoot, but that's about 22 cents a round vs about 30 cents a round for the store bought. It's usually better to buy in bulk, anyway. Great vid, as always!
When they have it, my local Walmart sells Fereral 9mm for $9.47 per box of 50. Picked up a couple of boxes today. Probably should have bought my 5 box limit.
I get my 9mm at Wal-Mart for about $9.50 per box. Federal 115 grain FMJ. They're frequently sold out though. Half the price of what I would pay at a local gun store.
Don't underestimate .22 Magnum, when compared to .22LR, it is in an entirely different class...Besides being more powerful, it uses jacketed bullets equal in quality to most centerfires. Gander Mtn. is a little pricey, .22 Mag. usually is available for $10-$15 in N.Y.S.
Walmart Walmart Walmart to buy something like 22 mag. here in NC CCI is far cheaper than Winchester. i dont think ive ever payed over 9 bucks for 22 mag
that .22mag ammo is like 8 bucks at walmart in georgia,And I buy reloaded ammo from local gun range an its 7bucks for 50rnds,may be reloads but they know what they are doing
At Gander Mtn. in Maryland it is $19 for a box of 9mm Blazer and $15 for a box of .22 MAG CCI. At my local gun shop just down the road they are selling 9mm for $12.99 for a box of 50 both blazer and PMC. Finally ammo prices are coming down!!
Wow...excellent price. My last purchase of 50, 38 Special, 148 GR. Targetmaster WC cost me $40 at our local Gander Mt. Ammo is so expensive here I really can't afford to shoot much lately.
Hi Jeff nice vid (as always haha ) A silly question I suppose, but On the 9mm ammo re Cheap (you call target ammo), and a 9mm round that's more expensive ( I assume you may call it a more of a 'serious' round as in a deadly intent type scenario ) what is the difference noticable in the end result please? Would not the 9mm (target) work the same end result? Tks Steve
the "target ammo" has little to no expansion thru humans, therfore not causing as much direct damage to them, whereas the defence ammo is made to expand on impact 2-3 times its on sizes, therefore making a much larger hole in turn killing the person faster. the end result will be the same for whomever you are shooting, seriously injured or dead.
But the end result for you could be different, it may only 2 shots to kill someone with defence rounds, but if using target rounds it could take 3...4....5 ...6 or more to take them down, and in that time he could shoot back and kill you.
ANY round should not be seen as inferior since all ammo even a pellet cna kill, the difference is regular cheaper full metal jacket rounds dont do as much damage as hollow points or frangable ammo that dumps all of its power into the person upon impact, regular ammo has far more penetration power but the objexct is not to put the bullet through a person with a smaller hole and hit innocewnt peopel behind them...but in soem situations FMJ's are better like if shootign through car doors, ect...
Hi Jeff, yes that makes sense, especially the ''shoot through'' situation with bystanders etc. It's just such a huge choice now, granted I have not kept up with weapons and ammo, since I left the Military after a good career, and back then, I think most everything was FMJ, with 'specialised' rounds available for 'specialised' reasons !! haha. I loved my SLR, 7.62 with a " fall down NOW! " attitude - shoot through ?? what's that !!? all changed now, Old Soldier raping on.... Thanks, Jeff.
gander mtn is a cool store. i recently went to my local one and bought a discontinued red class benchmade for 21 dollars. its a 4in AUS 8 bladed knife.
Bro, you need to watch Wal-mart for when they get ammo in if one is close. They stock the ammo after like 9pm, so try to get there late or really early.
Best prices other than walmart is definately online. Ammunition to go or ammoman usually has good deals.
Just went to the walmart the other day and was pleasantly surprised that thay were fully stocked in all ammo calibers, except 380acp. A box of 100 winchester white box 9mm goes for 20+/- bucks down in Miami Florida. Federal premium 50 round of 9mm is 12.99. that 50 round box of the 22 is about 6 bucks.
i live in salem too and i was going to post the exact same reply word for word cool yeah and the cheapest way to go for 22. is federal box of 50 is about 7 or 8 bucks
lucky 4 u guys. in cali, swartzaneger just past a law on ammo. all prices are going way up and you have to get thumb printed just to buy handgun ammo. total bull
i just went to cabelas on thursday, i love going there, its my favorite store, and when i was online to check out, i was playing with one of those lighter shotguns lol
9mm prices have about doubled since this time last year. Suffice to say, I won't buy a box of FMJ 9mm unless it's under $12, maybe even $10. That same 9mm Alum Blazer was $8 this time last year. And it used to be cheaper than that. And it's hard to find decent 223 practice ammo for under $0.50 a round, too. I used to buy the match ammo for $0.30 a round, and the practice stuff for about $0.25 a round. There is too much demand for value-priced practice ammo, it's driven everything up with it.
I've only priced .22lr this week, and I payed $33 for brick of 500 (CCI - standard velocity)
I did get an email from Four Seasons (one of the better gun shops here in anti-gun Ma) saying they were no limits on 9mm, .40, and .45 purchases for the time being. But no mention on prices. My local wallyworld hasn't had anything but odds an ends for months as I'm told some guy stops buy everyday and buys out all the popular calibers. nice.. thanks DeltaBravo.
I recently Bought a box of 100 Winchester white box 9mm a Walmart for $22. nice price but... I just shot 50 of them a few days ago and had 4 rounds with bad primers. No more winchester white box!! Wow those 22 mags kinda pricy I bought a brick of 500 22LR for $24 a few weeks ago.
weird... I've shot about several hundred rounds of WWB in .45ACP over the last ten years or so, and I've never had a failure. I wonder if it was just bad luck, or if their quality control is suffering...
It could also be my gun. It is a Taurus Millenium. I thought i read somewhere the firing pin may not hit the primer hard enough. Or winchester has harder primers that other ammo.
I have shot about 500 rounds though my gun with absolutely no malfunctions. I have shot Blazer, seller and Belliot, speer gold dot , ultramax, and fiocchi.
the gander mountain by me moved a little futher away, asn they decided to pu t a gander mountain clothing outlet where it used to be.......very cheap and discounted clothing that is left over and very sweet deals
Here in Tennessee I get chepo 9 made by "monarch" (Russian new brass) at Academy Sports for 11.99 for 50rd. Steel is 9.99. Winchester white box and blazer brass are both 10.49. 22mag is 10bux a box.
thanks for the update Im paying 14.95 for 50 9mm wolf and 23.95 for 100 9mm winchester value pack btw i for got to do my review on the MRS lol thanks for reminding me ill make a response to your vid.
wally world last two days 9mm federal fmj less than $10.00 / box of 50 .They have a 6 box limit per day .Went back this am to get 6 more . 12 boxes 600 rds around $126.00 including tax . Same price for .40
I work at a Dick's Sporting Goods in North Carolina and we sell both types of ammo that you have in your vid and it is the exact same price there as well. My local walmart has slightly lower prices but not by much and all of the smaller mom & pop type stores around me have much higher prices.
If you are comparing the .22 LR to the .22 Magnum, would it be possible for you to test .22 short as well? I"m just curious as to the difference, since it is a revolver, you don't have issues with the long/short like you did with the beretta bobcat.
In illinois, I payed $12 for 50 CCI Winchester Magnums, 9mm I have not looked into because I do not own a 9mm. I payed $29 for 100 .45 ACPs. If you want ammo cheap, go to walmart
were are the knives man the reson I subscribed to u was because i loved your knife videos and I dont mind u doing videos on other things but you are doing so much gun stuf and you sed you would never stop doing knife videos but you are just doing not alot of knife stuf now.
if u love knifes were are the videos you are doing about 70% gun stuf and 30% knife stuf. I started watching your videos around when you first started and you are the one that got me into knifs and now I love knifs soo much but you are doing so much gun stuff and I think me and many others fell the same way I am not trying to be a dick but I loved your videos but I havent bin watching them as much beause you havent bin doing videos on knifs, but even your other videos I love but To MUCH GUN STUF
In Illinois, 9mm is same price, around 15-20 bucks. But omg, 15 bucks for 50 rounds of .22 magnum! Here, i got a pack of .22 magnum cci mini mags at wal mart for 5 bucks!
come on jeff...you went to gandermountain and didnt even pick up not even one knife...haha what about some fishing stuff, the bass stuff is going on clearence now
50rds. of 9mm Blazer Brass has been, and still is, just $8.97 at my local Wal-Mart. I had been going in and cleaning them out whenever a shipment came in, but now they have a stupid rule that says 6 boxes per person at a time. So now I just bring friends along with me. LOL!
I just recently bought a Mosin Nagant 91/30 ex sniper rifle for $130 from my local Gander Mountain. Suprisingly in good condition it has all the original parts and was made in 1942, I consider it a good purchase. But yea Gander Mountain is what I consider my local Outdoors shop as well.
Hey Jeff, it's cool to hear your take on Gander. Here in Central MN I consider gander to be my local gun shop. There are very few gun stores near me, and the guys down at Gander are willing to haggle on gun prices just like at a mom n pop place. Recently I saw a Walther PPK/s there for $600. I offered the guy 550 with a free box of .380, and he agreed. What do ya know, not just a high priced chain store! ;) Keep up the good work.
ammo at cabelas, gander mountain, or dicks will ALWAYS be more expensive than it is online taxes kinda cancels out shipping..best places for ammo is Natches or Sportsmansguide (if you can deal with their bad shipping and stock) any plinking 9mm over $12 shipped is expensive for me here in ILLINOIS
Well my 9mm rounds are made by federal and I get a box of 50 target rounds for 9.95 at walmart when they have it... The cheapest .22Mag that I could find was 12.95.. That's in Washington state. Great video and have fun with those .22Mag's
dont know about magnum but at wally world 22 lr is 1.30-1.70 for box of 50 (winchester remington and federal {Best of the 3 to me)

Wow those 22 mags kinda pricy I bought a brick of 500 22LR for $24 a few weeks ago.
venturahwy76 2 years ago
weird... I've shot about several hundred rounds of WWB in .45ACP over the last ten years or so, and I've never had a failure. I wonder if it was just bad luck, or if their quality control is suffering...
notreallydaedalus 2 years ago
It could also be my gun. It is a Taurus Millenium. I thought i read somewhere the firing pin may not hit the primer hard enough. Or winchester has harder primers that other ammo.
I have shot about 500 rounds though my gun with absolutely no malfunctions. I have shot Blazer, seller and Belliot, speer gold dot , ultramax, and fiocchi.

I work at a Dick's Sporting Goods in North Carolina and we sell both types of ammo that you have in your vid and it is the exact same price there as well. My local walmart has slightly lower prices but not by much and all of the smaller mom & pop type stores around me have much higher prices.
icanoutfishu13 2 years ago
If you are comparing the .22 LR to the .22 Magnum, would it be possible for you to test .22 short as well? I"m just curious as to the difference, since it is a revolver, you don't have issues with the long/short like you did with the beretta bobcat.

In illinois, I payed $12 for 50 CCI Winchester Magnums, 9mm I have not looked into because I do not own a 9mm. I payed $29 for 100 .45 ACPs. If you want ammo cheap, go to walmart

Ah, you've got a lot of interesting stuff going on there, Jeff. ^_^ I guess we can look forward to the reviews... well, as usual in fact.
That shotgun lighter is cool indeed. It may be a trivial thing but I like it, nice style. =)
I'm curious how the .22 magnum ammo will shoot by the way. Probably quite noticeable recoil compared to .22LR I suppose.

50rds. of 9mm Blazer Brass has been, and still is, just $8.97 at my local Wal-Mart.

Same with me in regards to G. Mountain.
Passed it for years as a kid. Decided to go in last year, got me a knife and looking at guns down the road. Cool store.
JesusFuckingChrist84 2 years ago
ammo at cabelas, gander mountain, or dicks will ALWAYS be more expensive than it is online taxes kinda cancels out shipping..best places for ammo is Natches or Sportsmansguide (if you can deal with their bad shipping and stock) any plinking 9mm over $12 shipped is expensive for me here in ILLINOIS
OsamaHunter85 2 years ago
Well my 9mm rounds are made by federal and I get a box of 50 target rounds for 9.95 at walmart when they have it... The cheapest .22Mag that I could find was 12.95.. That's in Washington state. Great video and have fun with those .22Mag's
