im a bassist too :P i agree on how the best bass players are black, it is true they have natural rythm, soul and groove. but you must be forgetting some highly inspirational white bass players like Flea, Mark King, John Entwhistle and Cliff Burton :)

I think most blacks approaches the bass with strong percussion emphasis, which makes a difference.
