  • No, WRONG, It's called a "cappuccino" because, when done PROPERLY, the TALL, frothy foam resembles the pointy hoods of the "Cappuccin" Friar monks. You only made a Caffe Latte here.

  • Got the same machine lol

  • Umm I make cappuccinos good u can order 1 plz I wanna go to Rome with my friends and I'm like 11 so yah

  • This is so bad!!! :D

  • where the hell is the crema?

  • This video is wrong; in Europe, a cappuccino has very little foam while a latte has more.

  • The machine they use in the video is substandard the real cappuccino machines are like 1000 dollars that machine is about 50 dollars and for good coffee money is important, its a fact the expensive coffee is the best.

  • I live in amsterdam cofee shops doesnt only sell cofee there :D

  • AHhhhhhh Just Bought My machine and made some soooooooo gooood

  • i know you all probably heard this before but..IF YOU DONT HAVE ANYTHING NICE TO SAY DONT SAY IT thank you

  • (insert comment that says to buy Starbucks or bad mouths Americans)

  • you sir are an idiot and if i ever got served a cappuccino like that I'd throw it back in your face. in general i think Americans don't know how to make coffee

  • Step 1: Go to starbucks

Step 2: ask for a capuccino

    Step 3: enjoy!

  • Me; Looks at step one* OH FUCK THIS SHIT! TOO HARD!!!

  • OMG I MAKE MY CAPPUCCINO LESS THAN 5 SECONDS. BOIL WATER, GET THE NES CAFE, PUT IT IN THE CUP WITH WATER GET MILK FUCK IT IF ITS COLD OF WARM POUR IT AND PUT SUGER AND FUCK GO SMOKE YOUR CIGERET

  • @PSTRIPPLEE There's something in what you're saying, the only problem is that you drink frozed ground coffee

beans with tons of shit so it will have longer shelve life.

so its not really a cappuccino but I can understand your perception.

  • HE makes it look so complicated

  • this guy is worst than me as my first day as a barista. OMG

  • can i make this with nestle nescape coffee? i have the machine

  • Thats the worst cappuccino ive ever seen!!!!

  • Seen a couple of videos people tried to explain but this video has the best quality so far. Thanxx!!

  • @emiel500 It's also completely awful and wrong.

  • best cappuccino I've ever seen

  • @dogzer Keep looking friend. . .you will be amazed.

  • why would u make the milk first and the espresso second

  • very bad don't follow this crap

  • No offense but that's a God awful looking cappuccino right there :o For that amount of ground coffee to get that much espresso? Hell no... For a good 70/30 Arabica/Robusta blend you should get around 1/10th of that for that amount of ground beans. Also, better use a milk can with a spout so you can poor the foamed milk + the foam and create some cool patterns on top.

  • mmmmmmmmmm delicious

  • I'm a classically trained barista and while this is far from something I'd ever serve a customer, for those who want to save the money and do it at home, it's plenty sufficient. Though, personally I like to use a cinnamon flavored stevia for my sweetener AND my flavoring (there's a dark chocolate one too that's really good)

  • I'll be happy when Howcast produce a video on how to make a real cappuccino. At what stage was there a light coloured layer on top of your espresso!?! I personally feel bad that over 53,000 other people wasted their time watching this video.

  • this video is soooo noob :S

  • Plus dont go to starbucks or costa there crap go to the barista's in chester there amazing i go there everyday. they have real coffee beans unlike starbucks and costa, and there sandwhichs are made freshly every single day, well as starbucks and costa are factory made LOL!

  • Is this person trying to kill us or something?

That is how you make a cappuccino maybe for home use but if someone was trying to learn to work in a shop then they have got it all wrong.

First when your steaming the milk, I40c would kill us. You heat it up from 60-70c

Plus when you tamper you dont do it once, you stomp it then hit it with the circle round blob at the top on both sides then stomp and twist the second.

  • @Amy0896 do you even work at a cafe? what is this business with the tamper you speak of? you level the coffee, tamp by pressing down with the metal base, turn a bit to prevent coffee grounds from sticking and then remove the tamper.

and... with steamed milk it is supposed to be 140-150 degrees, hotter than that it'll scorch, cooler than that and it will be lukewarm which is not what you want a latte to be. Coffee is served hot. H O T. not warm. I work at a professional cafe.

  • @VioletRimbaud Awesome I would really like to see you in a video making a Cappuccino :)

  • @Amy0896 he said 140 Farenheight stupid

  • That is one odd looking button... Looks more like a knob that you turn to me.

  • Questo non è un cappuccino e nemmeno un espresso..Cosa hai fatto? O.O, non si usa il cucchiaio

This is not a cappuccino and isn't an espresso. What are you doing ? O.O You don't use spoon.

  • fucking heretic video T.T

  • Thanks, this is great info that was put in a few words with very simple steps to follow!!

  • The music was ok, but should have been louder and with a faster beat, because that just about put me to sleep. I wish my university professors would play music during their lessons like this.

  • man... way too much milk. should be 1 part of each espresso, milk, and froth. Everybody makes their cappuccinos with too much milk, it's not a latte...

  • What a load of crap that video was. No crema on the coffee. A propper cap doesn't have any chocolate on it and a latte certainly isn't just milk. A cap has about 1cm of froth a latte about half of that. The cappuccino got its name because it originated from those monks not because of the colors. They used coffee to keep them awake in long prayer sessions.

  • i also work out by the way

  • your penis is going to fall off

  • every morning before school, i drink a small cup of cappuccino, just 1 cup a day 5 days a week, im in 8th grade and 5'6 (asian) would that stun my growth if i keep drinking like that? ( a cup a day for 5 days i meant)

  • @layzxcrazy - doubt it. Find a height estimator web site and enter your parents heights. Get a Dr. to prescribe some HGH and you'll be dunkin.

  • This is not a real cappuccino...

  • SERIOUSLY - People need to STOP using non-SI units. This ruins the video for the rest of the world.

  • @Nettikadlez 1 oz = 30 ml approximately

rule of thumb i learned in israel

  • Im sorry mister Chino i dont like your drink and I really don't like your pants

  • I was going to say "wow.. what a great video!" but then the annoying ads changed my mind

  • One last thing, steamer espresso makers might be cheap and better than nothing but you can buy a cheap stove top moka pot that makes better near-espresso flavor for cappuccinos, lattes, and dessert drinks. Heat your milk in a sauce pan then use a hand-held frother. Or use the steam machine for its steam wand to froth milk which is about all it's good for anyway. But for about $60 you may find a Mr. Coffee pump espresso machine on sale that delivers a far better brew and makes perfect crema.

  • BTW people steamer espresso makers make the worst espresso in the world. They over-heat & over-extract the grounds to make bitter, burnt & sour swill that doesn't taste anything like sweet espresso. I used a steamer for 3 years to make cappuccinos & dessert drinks. Never just for espresso. It was too nasty tasting. Flavorings & milk made the stuff palatable--barely! Now that I've invested in a pump machine, not the best but far superior to steamers, I enjoy sweet espressos just for their flavor.

  • Once upon a time video posters were happy to entertain & inform. I turned to youtube for game reviews by actual users not corporate shills promoting for profit. I turned to youtube for recipes posted by cooks who just wanted to share their skills with the world. I turned to youtube on my phone to be entertained while waiting to see my doctor or getting my car fixed. Now with all the ads it's become a chore even with 5 sec spots. Seems poster's just want to get rich being shills for spammers.

  • @metaspherz - if u refresh the page the ads usually disappear

  • Cappucino is italian... I tell only this.. -_-"

  • excellent !

  • This is just bad. The difference between a cappuccino and a latte is ONLY the size. Caps are 6 ounces, lattes are 12 ounces. Both are micro-foamed. Americans never know how to correctly create espresso beverages.

  • this is CAFFELATTE :)

  • For all the proud italians I'd love to go to Italy to try your cappuccinos but that would be one crazy expensive cappuccino. If you know how to make it better please post a video! Everyone will either appreciate it (or criticize it).

  • E quello sarebbe un cappuccino? Mah....

  • Mmmmmmmm! So delicious!

  • i am sooo continental

  • you rely too much on modern technologies and so called "recipis". The mashine you used does not seem to be making espresso either.

  • From my understanding, the steaming is supposed to happen _after_ you make the espresso. Also, you're not supposed to add sugar.

  • @jamesaguilar fuck you!!! I'll add the juice from your mothers cunt if i want.

  • So wrong.............!!!!

  • starbucks makes the worst cappuchino ever!! it tastes milky with no rich coffee flavor or aroma.

  • i hate that i had to sit through a laundry detergent advertisement to see some dude not make a cappuccino.

  • shoulnd of watched the advertisment.

leave the video and come back to it if it happens again. they will just put more adverts if ppl watch them

  • I agree, clownstangler. Youtube ads are annoying as hell. They rarely have anything to do with the vid you want to see. And notice how they're getting longer too? Soon ads will double & be longer than the vid you're watching.

Advertising on youtube is now a cottage industry making some video posters lots of cash. The more people watch the more money they make. If I see an ad I usually turn down the audio & wait till the vid starts.

Now that youtube is streamed to TV sets it's gotten worse.

  • questo non è un cappuccino!!!!!!!!

  • Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

E questa brodaglia lo chiamate cappuccino?????

  • come here in Italy... and taste the difference..

  • mmmmm! Its so good! Thanks!

  • how can you call that an authentic cappuccino?? how can you call that an espresso...

  • Step 1 : get 6 dollors

Step 2 : go to STARBUCKS

    Step 3 : order cappuccino

Step 4 : wait intell they make it

    Step 5 ENJOY

    Robdoggierob

  • go to dunkin donuts with 3 :)

  • STARBUCKS one is not cappuccino, come to italy and see difference

  • Haha thats what I do. Its worth not having to clean up

  • Step 1: Become rich

    Step 2: Buy Starbcuks everyday

Step 3: Leave ignorant comments on Youtube

  • @ckbassist (Y) Lol Your funny :D

  • @ckbassist Step 4: Repeat

  • @ckbassist PROTIP: Starbucks is crap.

  • @ckbassist LOL

  • OR dont spend 6 bucks each day to get a single cup of coffee. Get a coffee maker and MAKE IT AT HOME

  • L M F A O

  • Step 1.

    GO TO STARBUCKS

    Step 2.

    ENJOY

  • I have a tutorial too:

    Step 1: Go to Starbucks

  • LOL

  • step 2: burn your wallet

  • HaHa!!!

  • what is espresso? I'm sorry I'm like noob at coffee lingo. and what is doppio espresso macciato, WTF is that.

  • a doppio espresso macciato is two shots of espresso with a dollop of foam on top. the doppio just means its a double and macciato means "mark."

  • easier aqnd cheeper to buy one

  • I'm a barista and I can tell you, if you don't mind spending the extra 60 seconds to make your own, that $200 espresso machine will pay for itself in a month... but in the short run, yeah, definitely easier and cheaper to just go out and buy one...

  • That and honestly...I just bought a cheap one at Walmart and it works pretty good, not at good at a more expensive one but makes cappuccino wonderfully :D I'm a barista too

  • i use Nabob on my Tassimo machine.i dont like anything in it.if youve been to Round Lake, youll know its in the country and it is pitch dark out

  • Horrible espresso machine - it looks like it uses steam to burn the beans vs. hot water and a pump.

  • I'd rather go to starbucks and buy a cappucino than waste my money on all the things you 'need' to make one yourself.

  • for people who likes to waste time

  • damn man...was a starbucks employee. That is not how you make a cappuccino. The foam is weak as shit for one. and damn..how many ounce of espresso was shot out of that. it's all black. Where's the body, heart and caramel top? it's supposed to be golden brown when its just pulled, not black. I should know. i used to have 12 shot ice americano every morning.

  • ooooyeeaaaahhhhh man ... starbucks i can't live without ya ... i respect you man

  • 12 shot is a lot of caffein any heart problems yet lol i hope i don't get any im addicted to the doppio espresso macciato extra foamy.

  • screw this.ill stick to my coffee as black as midnight in Round Lake

  • Scusate,ma il cappuccino italiano ve lo sognate xD

  • 1.03

  • 140

  • that is NOT how you make a cappuccino. that's just a latte with lots of foam....

you free pour the steamed milk so that it's mostly all foam....

i would know. i work at starbucks.

  • like you, i am a sbux employee. An sbux cappuccino is not a traditional italian cappuccino, it is only based off of one. a traditional Italian cappuccino is one part espresso, one part milk, one part foam (preferably microbubble foam) so if you think about the ratio of 1 shot = 1 oz. a cappuccino should only be 3 oz. or if its a double, 6 oz. That is also why its o.k. to have tasty breve with your cappuccino with no need to worry about Calories, as compared to aprox. 12-20 oz. of high Cal Breve.

  • Great vid!

  • oooh my favorite coffee drink :D

  • To make a capuccino you will need: A CAPUCCINO MACHINE!! WTF???

  • f... the italians, they're all gangsters!!!

  • grifonegro: I agree, the only thing good about them is their food! I don't know why the French have such a bad reputation, Italians put them, and everybody else to shame.

  • yeah, demerc, the french are nice! much more civilized, despite the fact they're all fags...

  • I don't like coffee but nice to know if i ever need to make one lol.

  • not bad but not the perfect way...i know it because i'm italian like cappuccino ;)

  • coffeeeeeee
