Drew, Absolutely Amazing series! I hope they hear you when you have your sit-down with the City Officials. We need innovation and removal of obsolete practices that are driving more businesses and people out of the city.
Good luck Mr. Carey (if you bother reading Youtube comments....if I didn't have a self-destructive attitude towards my brain (and to lesser extent, kidneys and liver), I wouldn't). I'll be watching the series and hoping somebody in your town's government is listening.
Im from the same place. He's right, this place sucks. Don't come here unless you need weed, cocaine, STD's, stress, high taxes, misery or neighborhoods of disrespectful black people.
I give him credit for trying but unfortunately Cleveland will still have its crappy leaders in place-get them the heck out of there first and get someone in there who is not corrupt and only looking out for his cronies and maybe Cleveland would have a chance.
This is wonderful -- I love Drew Carey and I think what he is doing here could be the start of something amazing. Imagine if all the famous people in the world were to come to the aid of their home towns -- wow. Kudos to DC! *stomps, whistles and cheers!*
God bless you Drew. As a fellow Ohioan, I sincerely hope Reason at the very least makes recommendations the city of Cleveland takes seriously...though given the city's track record, I have my doubts.

If you think Government is the problem, then I'm afraid that you will never find a solution.
So in your dream world, what would happen to the 15 million (guess) people who would be unemployed when you get rid of the Government.
Maybe the big problem is the corporations that steal the money out of your pocket, right in front of your face, then people like you blame the government., basically letting the Companies off scott free.
Did the Gov' send the manufacturing jobs overseas? Or was that Corps
The government doesn't have any wealth. If the government is employing 15 million people they have to pay them using money that they take from the private sector. If those people are fired and the money is returned to the private sector those people can be hired by business people with the extra money that they have been able to keep because of the tax cuts. Businesses and corporations can't take your money unless they give you something in exchange, unlike the government.
@coffee, getting rid of the government is the solution you nitwit. also, the government does not create employment, it is a leeches money off the private sector. furthermore, government is the one doing the stealing through taxation and inflation. corporations can only loot the public if they use the power of government. finally, the govt did play a role in sending the jobs overseas through high taxation, regulations, and union laws. also, outsourcing is not even a bad thing. learn some economics
coffeebuzzz the concentration of power, public or private, is a big problem. corps in concert with gov change the rules in their favor. we are losing millions of jobs to third world countries, but that's because of our trade policy. if you want to import stuff into japan, you have to pay a 40% tariff. most western european countries 30%. the US - 2% - our govt does the bidding of the multinationals, not the people.
you have no idea how the world actually works. study economics, then business, then try to formulate an opinion. gov't doesn't create jobs, it merely misallocates resources.
lmao, and they call me an asshole... what they should do if they cannot compete in the job market, is beg for money, like it was always done and is still done today...

Blacks and Democrats run the city, so you know there's no way to fix anything.

Have you seen Penn and Teller: Bullshit? They got a libertarian perspective and they've had people from reason on as their guests at least once.
