For those curious, I was told that it was fan art, and not canon. I've seen his Bankai, and it's not this. This image combines several different aspects of his current and former abilities: Visored eyes, Fullbring armor on his face and chest, his Bankai style when he fought Aizen last, and his Hollowfied form's long hair. His real Bankai outfit remains mostly the same, except with an opened coat, revealing a white undershirt, bound with three cross straps, and glove with x marks.

I myself was hoping that there be some type of obsticle ichigo was going to have to get through other than just the usual BAN-KAI!!!!!!! then its done...honestly i truely believe i could have played the scenario out 10x better than kubo because it wasnt spicy enough he wasnt dramatic enough ichigos power jumped through demensions and now u would think there be more to it than just the regular bankai now....my idea would have been he get a new inner soul hence the fusion of zangetsu and hichigo

Honestly this image and or description of Ichigo's Bankai doesn't fail it was a good projection of what i think it should have or ought to be....After seeing Ichigo go mugetsu on Aizen and obliterate him to some degree...with the power no other has ever had before....you would think that because there was so many different forms of power at work....some saying that the hollow inside him and zangetsu fused you would think there be more to Ichigos new bankai than just the simple look again
