@thatonecoolkiddo wow, seriously? Your really going to say that? Most of the "christian" rock out there does not exalt god...the songs could just as easily be about a girl. SO with your logic Frank Sinatra, Live, and Ella Fitzgerald are all "wrong" to listen too. Honestly dude, we all according to Scripture blaspheme and dishonor his name every day. Why? Because we don't worship or glorify God as we should, we don't value him as we ought. You have no scriptural basis for this comment.
@dgrace529 That's why you don't listen to the 'christian' rock that's not about the father. =]
And I do. It's a tiny little scripture that says do all things to the glory of God. And the other tiny scripture that says to separate yourself from this world, because light has no business with darkness. That's all I'm sayin'.
@NERDZKANDY It depends. I don't think there's a straight yes-or-no answer. What I can say is, can you walk away from it glorifying God, thanking Him for listening to it, seeing that it brought honor and glory to God?
No, we just have to reject music that's anti-God. Just because a song isn't explicitly pro-God- worship-style-music doesn't make it anti-God automatically. My opinion.
Do they glorify God or praise evil things? Worldly things? Read the lyrics and compare with Scripture.
I admit my music genre changed. I used to listen to Rap but changed because of the lifestyle it invokes. I'd suggest trying to search for some good Alternative Rock by Christian authors. Search around and have fun!
@NERDZKANDY Some of it could be, depending on what you are listening to.. However , be careful with what you listen to, music or otherwise, it is dangerous to open up a pathway that could be there and how evil can creep up on (or "into" you) to control you with it. Look up "Reverse Speech" "demons" and occult use in the music industry and rock n roll. Jesus bless you.
You only say that because you don't understand the bigger picture. God is a true Father. His priority isn't to save the body, but the soul. God holds strongly to allowing people to use their free will as they choose. Human beings have a natural tendency to raise cain. We suffer so much in this world because we don't love one another properly. But each suffering endured with love and patience can work in the favor of our souls. I invite you to learn more about God. You'll find the truth.
I agree with this guy's message, but don't think anyone needs to be impressed by the fact that the man he was talking about was knighted. That is a very worldly, luciferian ritual.
who are the one who believes in Jesus wich is suffering??
Look at Palestine!
Look at Bosnia!
Look at Kosovo!
Look at Chechenya!
Look at Iraq!
Look at Afghanistan!

Is listening to Rock/metal a sin? bands like ac/dc, chikenfoot, metallica, nirvana?
NERDZKANDY 2 years ago
no. I'm not saying that all who do are not sinning, but such music is not inherently sinful

Rock/metal that exalts and worships God is NOT wrong.
AC/DC, Metallica, Nirvana, Chickenfoot ARE wrong. They do not worship God in any way, they only blaspheme His name and dishonor Him and dethrone Him.

@NERDZKANDY I don't think so... God can use what was meant for evil and use it for good.
