first off i love 3eb. this song for me hits home. i love it. how i relate to the song is. my girl that ive been looking for has been hiding out and she got in trouble with the cops and they finally got her. but she is so pretty and now she is hiding out in prison. i found her in prison and went to see her and now she is so pretty and a red star. she'll be getting out soon. but she is my red star thanks 3eb for the music

Tony Fredianelli was actually the original guitarist for the band, and did some shows with them, but wasn't able to tour at the time. Kevin Cadogan came along afterward. I do agree that Tony is a much better fit in the band, though.

Well eventhough Cadogan cowrote some of the songs w/ Jenkins on the self titled album and Blue- Cadogan didn't write ANY 3eb songs alone. Jenkins wrote the two most popular songs alone on the first album-Semi-charmed life, + Jumper, and also the best song- Motorcycle Drive by. I agree 3ebs early work is way better than there current work but it doesn't have much to do with Cadogan-no band can hit ALL homeruns. Out of the Vein was awesome sans Cadogan.

I am so amazed at how much of a 180 SJ's voice has matured in these few short years.

I remember back not too long ago when I would wince in anticipation of how he would start off every one of his songs live.

He has finally realized that the delivery of his vocal abilities win over his fans so much more than his attempt to perform on stage for them.

I am 100% for this live version of Red Star to be used in their album over a studio recording. It's absolutely amazing.

I know what you mean with bands/musicians that have an image they feel they need to stick to, and take it very seriously.

But Stephan and the rest of 3eb know what they want others to perceive them as, being a rebellious rock group isn't it. He just does that to entertain the crowd.

But yes, he definitely can focus more on his vocals now when he's not jumping around or pushing Hargreave's drum set over, haha.

for those arguing about kevin/tony: cadogan was more creative and was a better composer than tony. however, anything he played, tony plays just as well if not better. i just dont ever expect a song to come near the beauty that is God of Wine, because jenkins cannot produce masterpieces by himself, over and over. he needs help from the rest of the band. tony and leo will not be able to help in that aspect. dont you forget that arion salazar was also a big contributor to the original 3EB sound.

Fredianelli is technically a better guitar player that Cadogan?! Maybe you never heard the songs God of Wine, Losing a Whole Year, Wounded, etc...or any decent guitarist for that matter. Technically, Tony is a cover guitarist that plays Cadogans songs for a living. Saying that is like saying Avril Lavine is technically a better guitarist that Jimmy Paige.
