  • Im white, hispanic, and I love every thing about new mexico and its people.

We plan to go back soon.

  • Of course white people are welcome as are all people at the small church which is about an hour from Santa Fe. I have been to Chimayo a number of times and have felt looked down upon because I am white. Everyone I talked to during my visits were friendly and helpful. They only ask that you behave respectfully and honor the tradition and magic of the Church and the surrounding grounds.

Mil gracias! I lived in Espanola for over 5 years and attended St. Stephens. I went to the local Catholic churches there with and for my former students. Thank you for your welcome. God Bless!
