    bill moyers for president

  • This is an interesting clip but is way too short. I saw the entire show; it was gripping. It was clearly not easy for Gen. Sanchez to express his feelings about what happened while he was in command in Iraq. Rose did a terrific job of providing Sanchez an opening to explore the painful choices between being a good soldier and following the chain of command vs speaking up against incompetency or illegal policies.

  • yes i just watched the entire interview on rose's site, and the post 18:00 comments are very interesting

  • I think McCain is to old to be president, we need young brains to take over, change , change , change.

  • The fact is that the U.S. military HAS loyally followed the orders of the Secretary of Defense, the Vice President, and the Commander-in-Chief, even when those orders violated international law.

Bush has punished severely generals who spoke out against him before they entered retirement.

Who is guilty? Both. Both the generals AND Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld. And both must be prosecuted for crimes committed.

Which group should be allowed to get away with murder? Neither group.

    Obviously.

  • Torturer in Chief

  • The commander in Chief is ultimately responsible. His backward policies have us rebuilding while the war rages on. His indignant belligerence is keeping us in a state of quagmire, and his lack of trust and accountability continue to put my brother's life at risk.

  • Well said!

    Sincerely,

    Army Veteran

  • This general should have resigned rather than allow such shameful thing to go unpunished by Bush administration...
