The beginning was a little rough but you got better as you went on. "Head on out the dooo-oor" fabulous note bending, I never heard anyone else bend the notes the way you do. Then "Stay togethah", you nailed that high note, a major toughie, but 'jes a "piece of cake" fer you, right?! That's why I call you the "Mighty Hicks" ha, ha, yes I'm totally enamored can you telll?

The man just has an amazing voice. He should have been famous long before he went on Idol. He just wasn't in the right places at the right time to have his voice recognized.

But thats a good thing, it made him a more interesting person. He is very different than his AI persona. That was just one part of him.

did you see his return to preform this season, thought that would never happen! he was absolutely great. blew them all out of the water. made this years finalists sound like crap. you can't hold a good man down. you see he got a standing ovation from the judges,even Simon. can you imagine season 5 if he was able to play his guitar and mouth organ.. American Idol WAS totally dumb shits not to sell Taylor Hicks...They ruined him, however Taylor DID get the big money...He'll be out more once his contract is over. I expect to see more of him around the music industry. He IS awesome, I just love his voice...authentic, masterful, controlled!!!

I thought that when Taylor sang that song it was wonderful. I think the voice was on and he is such a great performer that he just can draw you right into his singing. He shows so much emotion and really gets into the music. I hands down loved when he did this song it brought tears to my eyes. Soul Patrol forever.

You can see the lack of rehearsal in this song, because he had been made to change the song late. The first line is a little shaky, can't imagine how nervous he was. A lot of words to remember for a song he didn't know well. But it was great, hear the growls and emotion he put into it. I love it more every time I hear it. They like to say he won because he was popular. Well, he was popular because he was talented. A great voice. One of the very best.

The Judges gave him bad comments on this. I don't know about y'all but I would not be able to hold my tongue like he did. I would have been like "Well when you get your song cleared and then taken away from you 2 days before a performance, then yeah it's going to sound like "weird Karaoke" and I'm going to "look uptight". Woo. No I would have went off on them. Good thing he got the last laugh in the end. I still like the song, I thought he did great in the middle and end, except the last note.

An amazing job really. The lack of rehearsal showed a little at the beginning. But his voice gives me chills when he really gets into it. This is one I love just to listen to on my mp3. But godhand06 I read your comment. Of course Taylor has the talent, but maybe not what they are looking for. They are looking for cookie cutter crap. Thats not Taylor. Hes an original. I love how he can make you feel when he sings a song.
