@Mekial111 First, no, I was not a member of the Iowa National Guard. Two, "the 'stan" as I put it, is one of many nicknames for Afghanistan. I do know of other nations with stan at the end. "The 'stan" however refers to the ONLY country with stan in the name, that US and Coalition forces are currently in.

Saying another name like "The Sandpit" is just a vague general term for the Middle East as a whole and would be inappropriate for my sentence, so, I used "the 'stan". Satisfied?

It would be a really nice promotion if they offered some of the maps in a map pack. Something like Northern Kuwait and South Iraq, Bagdad, or some of the 'stan.

LMAO ru serious ive never heard that for socom, US navy seals motto is "the only easy day was yesterday", The US Army Special Forces one is "De oppresso liber". There are several for USMC like "once a marine always a marine" or "semper fi", and also "First to Fight" there ar games, books and posters saying this idk how you could miss this, and any way through out history of the US the USMC was always first to fight! VBS2 costs like $2000. Not a joke, it was designed for the military and is priced as to best rip off the military as with all contracts they take out.

You could but you could arma 2 for regular retail game prices and it would be probably better, besides no one playes this and i'm certain the military used closed servers for training. You should look at ArmA 2 it is a vast improvement on arma 1 and i think actually in many respects looks more fun that VBS

No i hadn't heard that but it does sound interresting. The problem i have with it is that the stuff can all be made through mods and so making vbs abit obsolette, admitedly there are some really cool features but stuff like those two features can be made themselves.
