Yes. There are observable evidences for evolution. Actually if you ask most (if not all ) biology professor in any university, they will tell you that evolution did happened, because without it biology does not really make much sense. New medicines, vaccinations and many other medical advances are made because of the understanding of the scientific theory of evolution.
By the way, the word "theory" in science context is very strong, and is usually supported by evidences.

Or I could die from a meteor impact. A psycho could break into my house and kill me. Any number of things could happen really.

Actually if you ask most (if not all ) biology professor in any university, they will tell you that evolution did happened, because without it biology does not really make much sense. New medicines, vaccinations and many other medical advances are made because of the understanding of the scientific theory of evolution.

where is your proof of the big bang? did you actually see it? or did a bunch of scientists tell you and you believe them? in that case, you're in the same boat as me, sir. you blindly believe something w/o having any proof. at least i can touch, see, and read the bible, a book (which if u read it) makes sense. i know it sounds difficult to hear that "reading the bible will solve all ur disbelief problems," but frankly, i've seen it do just last, dozens of times. u sound dogmatic.

He has shown me no reason to think differently. I don't know for a fact that he will never screw me over, but I believe that he won't. That is having "faith" in him. However, what theist's have, is "BLIND" faith. They believe something with ZERO evidence, or reason behind it. Faith is good to have, just not when it's blind.

@tyler2june Actually, no, I don't have faith that I'm not going to die tomorrow. Anything could happen. I live next to an airport, a plane could go out of control and crash into my house. Or I could die from a meteor impact. A psycho could break into my house and kill me. Any number of things could happen really.
However, these things are not very statistically likely so they probably won't happen. But I won't take it on faith that they won't happen. I get through life without faith, thanks.

@arc175 You misunderstand what atheism is, it's a response to the claim that god exists, the response being there is not sufficient evidence to warrant a belief in god. "Something can't come from nothing" doesn't disprove atheism because atheism doesn't seek to prove anything. The beginning (I assume you mean universe) is currently best explained by the big bang, though what was before the singularity is currently an unknown...for everyone, no matter what you claim.

@chadwick0091 well actually his first point was very valid. if atheist refuse to believe because lack of proof, seeing it, or whatever. why do so many believe in science. science is man made conceptions. man named it. yet , science does not answer every question, its doubtful, and not absolute. but atheist treat that as truth. i think not science cant answer why people love or why everyone needs love or right and wrong morality. science can never answer that.
