This is the aesthetic completion and improvement upon prog rock. The next step would be melding this and prog into extended twenty-minute, semi-improvisatory tracks and epic opera, not to mention the good old fugato. I hope this new century brings musical splinterings and childish dabblings of such styles as prog, pop, neo-jazz, rap, minimalism and the like into a new, mature and completed artform which better describes all our spirits. Late music history is a shame & embarressment!
