Well the reasone why they do that because people that don't have live need to buy it so Microsoft can make money. therefore when you buy live theyare giving services that can only be done with the 360.

Really its like £4.99 a month in the UK...thats not alot of money...thats less than the hourly minimum wage. i can see why its annoying but Microsoft probably had to pay for the rights to these new features and so will want to recoup some of that money back. Besides XBOX Live Gold is awesome and opens up your XBOX 360 to so much more. At the end of the day you will always have Facebook, Twitter etc etc available to you via your PC or laptop so really it's not that big a deal.

The reason it's not free is because it's trying to save u money. If you done an awesome drift on NFS: Shift or got a overkill no-scope on Halo 3, you can upload it to Facebook. (And possibly Twitter) Yould have to go out and get a capture card, which is around £30, even on eBay.

Actually, Gold Members get alot more than silvers.

They are the only ones that can play 1 vs 100, they get downloads over two weeks in advance. They also have a faster download rate.

XBox Live isn't that expensive. 10 bucks a month, or 50 dollars a year....Think about it. You will spend more gas in one month than XBox Live, either way you look at it.

Me, who has a Gold Membership, I'm not really bothered by it.
