2. Because I wanted to show a different way, keyboard shortcuts that involve four fingers are a little hard for people to learn when watching a video tutorial.
3. I try to show techniques that people using multiple versions can use.

WOW you added noise reduction because your sharping added noise WHY did you not just use Mask on your sharping as the noise was in the flatter colour space as in the green? Alt+slider and see how you can just sharpen the edges, ie what you want to. Why have CS5 if you not going to use it all? When you made a new merged copy why not just Shift+Ctrl+Alt+E or what ever Mac is,
