randomite88, that is where you are wrong, SAS's weapon of choice is mainly Silenced MP-5's or MP-7's, they stick with stealth, therefore Ak's and M60's will not help them achieve there goal.

they use what weapon is needed to get the job done. the Mp5 and Mp7 are pistol calibers and with modern technology we have .308 sniper rifles that are quieter than .22 rifles.

even the SAS will use what weapons they need to get the job done, and along side the Australians Spec Ops ands the Green Beret/Navy SEALs they are the most flexible and adaptable

Lol around 5:50 and 6:12 you hear everybody talking, right? but the funny thing is that whenever the SAS are talking, there is music and wind in the background. When the Marine Corps sniper guy talks, all the dramatic music and wind in the background disappear, and when he's done talking, the background sound effects just turn back on again. Lol!

I'm guessing that's because he's using a video editing program that only enables one layer of audio. The SAS's voices and music may have been taken from one file or source, and when the Marines cut in he was to substitute the music/sas audio file for the marines audio file.

Soldiers go behind enemy lines, and they're most likely to take weapons that will accommodate the indigenous caliber of choice. since 7.62 mm is far more common than 5.56 in most non-NATO states, its very likely SAS and other spec ops units would take in weapons like AK variants, M-14s, G-3s, M-60s etc.
