Brandon Roy is probably a one in a billion type of player. We won't even get a player like that in Portland again. I'm not so sure the league will see a player so fundamentally sound, efficient. We see a ton of superstars in the NBA, but none of them are this clutch or poised with the weight of the world on their shoulders. Brandon Roy had some kind basketball mind that is rare even among stars. Roy is a truly fearless player.
I still have this game on my DVR from last April, I still get goose bumps every time I watch it. @pinwheelempire great job on this video, I can't believe I haven't seen this yet! 5 short seasons and Brandon is my favorite player of all time, surpassing Clyde after he ditched PDX and claimed H-Town for life. B-Roy forever! GO BLAZERS!
brandon roys last game on that blazer court in that blazer uniform. he couldve made it far. such a humble person. he was the best in my eyes =) he brought basketball back to portland and put us back on the map =) i cant thank him enough. never gonna forget him. hes the reason im a basketball fan again. #7 always and forever.
My heart stopped when Terry shot that three, he didn't miss a shot before the game. Never been so pissed off to being absolutely ecstatic before in such a small amount of time, truly amazing. Brandon Roy will always remain as one of my favorite players of all time. Go Portland.
It is very sad that this was Roy's last game as a Blazer, or in the NBA period. It is sad that such an amazing player got his career cut so short. But he'll always be a Blazer, and if Portland ever wins another Championship, they should give him an honorary ring, period.
Brandon Roy.... honestly you would of been right next to micheal jordan..... you have so much talent that it brings me to tears i would of loved to see you win a champoinship.... you deserve it!
Portland or any other team will never realize what there losing here, it's gonna be a long time before any other team has a player like Roy. Fuck Espn, they don't understand how underrated Portland is.
Well, as I recall being a Mavs I totally FREAKED at this game. But I said then and I'll say now, WOW what a performance. What a way to go out. What a privilege to have watched this game live. Now that Roy has retired I cant help but feel cheated, that I never got to watch Roy, Aldridge n Oden play together at full strength.
Not a blazer fan, but it's so sad to see a young talent like this have the privilege of playing basketball taken away from him because of injuries. Really Sucks. what a player.
Firstly, who ever made the video should have a job in video editing/producing as it was pretty sick work. NBA TV should get you to do the NBA Stories segment.
Secondly, Amazing game
Finally, I feel so bad with Brandon Roy. SICK player with sick with ethic but just ran out of luck. You really appreciate Brandon Roy so much more when you put him up against someone like Vince Carter.
I was at this game. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life and something I will never forget. Brandon i'm sorry your career ended the way it did and you were one of my favorite Blazers in your time there. RIP city baby.
broy u will be missed brotha, wish you luck in whatever you choose to do in life, you were a great basketball player and a very humble young man.best of luck to you.
ill remeber this game for the rest of my life! thanks Broy for everything you have donr for us over the years, Blazer for life man, put that shit in the rafters
Not ashamed to say that I cried while watching this. Fought back tears watching this BEFORE he retired. No sense fighting watching this AFTER he retired.
There were only 22 Blazers possessions in this span. Roy produced a basket, either by score or assist, on 14 of them, and was responsible for just two empty trips. On Saturday I tweeted Roy's player efficiency rating for the final 12:45,...His mark for that stretch was an incomprehensible 89.68, or roughly triple what a typical MVP winner might post...
In a nutshell, then, this wasn't just the best quarter of Roy's career; this was the best quarter of just about anybody's career.
Grittiest comeback I've ever seen. I've watched or listened to every NBA game BRoy ever played, so for my money, that's as good as it gets. Basketball will miss Brandon Roy.
B-Roy is my favorite non Jazz player, he had alot of great years left if it weren't for his knees. He was a good, humble guy...something very lacking in today's NBA players. He didn't deserve this. He should have been allowed a long and full career. Not fair. ALL of the NBA will miss you Roy
i never say anybody deserves anything in life because we really dont but b roy deserved one last game like this one and i'm really glad he got it before his retirement especially on the nba's biggest stage! much love b roy!
I dont see LeBron or Kobe doing this, this is what seperates Roy from other players they play for money he plays with All Heart!!! Love You B-ROY<3 always in my Heart
I am so thankful I got to see Game 4 last year in the Rose Garden against Dallas. It was a finishing masterpiece for ROY'S CAREER. Little did I know at that point it was his LAST BEST PERFORMANCE I think of his career. ROY4LIFE. RETIRE 7.
@22mrstarwars haha i turned it off when Peja hit that 3 near the end of the 3rd. then i couldn't bring myself to not watch and turned it back on 3 minutes later. thank god
at that game it waz so loud i couldent hear my self think i asked my dad if i could go home it waz so bad. i want to be like u so i hert my knee at my basket ball game i will wear ur jursey in honer i watch this vid so much be for my basket ball game for good luck
I remember watching this game and thinking the Mavs had this game in the bag and usually when I think that I turn but for some reason I didn't this time and I'm glad I didn't. . When that 3 pointer over Marion went in I was out of my seat and screaming. I just got in to basketball a little while ago so I haven't seen much of Roy but I'm glad I got to see something like this before he retired. I was looking forward to more of him though.
I have never seen Andre Miller show so much emotion in a game. And he wasn't even in the last quarter. The players couldn't believe it as much as the fans. God bless Brandon Roy.
@CarbonPhotosythesis i wanted to go home at the third quarter it was so bad but they got rid of andre hes on the nuggets blazers traded for ramen felten
How perfect was that to be his last game at the Rose Garden. Blazer fans are tough, we are practically immune to the pain that comes with injuries and setbacks, but this is different. Its the end of an era that never was. We were all so close this time. So painfully close........
Dam i teared up at this... not even a blazers fan or roy fan but as a fan of the game of basketball i realized how much he meant to the sport. Such an amazing competitor and leader, his career ended way too soon. B-roy you will be missed
I feel like B-Roy already had that kind of veteran experience about him even though he was only in the league since 2006 i was like get the ball to him at the end of the game and we have a good chance of winning the game. So just imagine what would have happened in Portland if he had stayed healthy. I know what woulda happened.........CHAMPIONSHIP BACK IN PORTLAND.
hands down the best basketball game I ever watched. Going from that 3rd quarter, sitting there totally bummed, then watching the slow but steady comeback, to the sudden loud cheering and amazing finish. So sad to see BRoy go so soon, why do bad things happen to good people. P-town will always love BRoy for games just like this, the rose Garden will for sure miss his dramatics.
Damn. BRoy was my second fav player behind DWade. Amazing game. I hope he's not retiring. Such a great person and amazing baller. Even if I knew I was only getting 5-7 years out of him, I would've still drafted him. Amazing person
Im kind of glad he is retiring because i didnt want this man another team and i didnt want the blazers to turn their backs on him by amnestying him. Tragic to hear the news, he's now another player in the long list of what could have been. He's a class act and truly humble person. I wish him the best hopefully he can now go to Europe and get the treatment and maybe one day work his way back into the league.

Tragic to hear the news, he's now another player in the long list of what could have been. He's a class act and truly humble person. I wish him the best hopefully he can now go to Europe and get the treatment and maybe one day work his way back into the league.

@kzhang100 right? I mean I'm not even a blazers fan but I hate to see bad things happen to good people.

You know it's special when Andre Miller shows any kind of emotion especially like what he shows at 6:07
