Today we know this is caused by the wobble of the earth's axis and causes climate change just as the tilt of the axis gives us summer and winter. Passing above or below the galactic plane would indeed cause the reversal of the poles, not just of earth but of the sun (solar system moves in tangent with the sun).

The only thing im interested in is the part about solar flares on 2012 will be at a maximum. That part is true. The speculation is wether this will be a physical shift, or a magnetic shift over time. No one really knows..
there will indeed be a maximum just as there is every 11 years. and judging by previous cycles (including 2011) our next one will be relatively calm. the worst one we've ever had was in 1983, i think. that year might be wrong.
also, nasa predicts that the next maximum will be in 2013.

I dont believe one way or the other, im sitting on the fence post. One thing for sure is the mayan calender is very precise. They knew that predicting the future eclipses and position of the stars would change if the Earth axis changed. It makes sense to me if they had knowledge of an axis change. No one knows the interstellar magnetic force involved with the alignment coming.

Look up Precession of the Equinoxes. Ancient societies observed the stars appear to fall back 1 degree in 72 years. Today we know this is caused by the wobble of the earth's axis and causes climate change just as the tilt of the axis gives us summer and winter. Passing above or below the galactic plane would indeed cause the reversal of the poles, not just of earth but of the sun (solar system moves in tangent with the sun).

The program gives us a scientific approximation for dating the Pole Shift. It is well worth a viewing.
Some areas on the earth have already become magnetically neutral. The Earth is losing 6% of its charge every century. Magnetic charge and Pole Flips are directly related.
Using that metric, they approximated in 1500 years the poles will change polarity.

independent astronomers? where do you think all these reports come from? they come from, well, independent astronomers.....and when has nasa ever told us about other potential end of the world scenarios?
the fact of the matter is, if the government knew, they wouldnt tell tell us because of all the repercussions (riots, killings, etc)

Nasa had told us about the one in 2036 and a couple other near-misses in the past decade. sorry i cant put any more specific dates out.
and no, these reports come from not independent astronomers as you say but uncredited loonies like Sitchin and David Icke.

Mainstream Astronomers have been searching for Planet X since the discovery of Neptune
in the mid-1800's - the perturbations in it's orbit showed
there was something else out there.
But these days, NASA isn't going to do anything to associate themselves with anything mystical like 2012.

While I agree with you on nostradamus, pole shifts and the mayans, your research on sitchin is completely wrong. He spent 30+ years of his life studying the sumerian culture. The sumerians did not believe that nibiru would hit earth in 2012 only pass through our solar system. Riddle me this batman? How does a 5000 year old cicilization responsible for our first systems of writing and farming know the number, shape, and location of the planets before NASA. Do some more research bud.

i wouldnt call those 30 years of his life "studying" but rather "scamming." he never had a single class in semetic languages. he has been proved wrong countless time on the most fundamental aspects of the sumerian language by real experts like Michael Heiser.

I'm honestly not the slightest bit worried about 2012, but I do have my own theory about what might happen if anything does. I don't actually even believe that it will happen 12/21/12 though,but maybe 80+ years from now, if not more.
No, it's not about Planet X, Pole Shifts and all that junk, it's about something real and not made believe bull-shit.
I'm not going to say what it is, as this video was made to calm those down who get paranoid about such things, but I just had to make a statement.

This video is right about one thing, the mayans didnt say the world was gonna end with desaster. However late 2012 marks the beginning of a new type of world. One of knowledge. Im concerned becuase our world governments have a shit ton of secrets they dont want us to know about. What would happen if they become exposed to enough justful citizens? What if the long predicted war between the poor and the rich finnaly kicks off? What if HR 1207 passes and we find out the raw truth of our money?

the only problem i have with the "secretive government" idea is that it implies that the citizens, and the rest of the world, is completely helpless. i dont think there is any secret NWO agenda; rather than our world being controlled by a select and secret hundred it is controlled by an explicit 50,000 or so. the world is, as of now, run by the CEOs of the major corporations. as long as it doesnt bring in money to the people in the top, they dont give a shit.

The only thing im interested in is the part about solar flares on 2012 will be at a maximum. That part is true. The speculation is wether this will be a physical shift, or a magnetic shift over time. No one really knows..

there will indeed be a maximum just as there is every 11 years. and judging by previous cycles (including 2011) our next one will be relatively calm. the worst one we've ever had was in 1983, i think. that year might be wrong.
also, nasa predicts that the next maximum will be in 2013.

@kahuna2509 Althought the sun is no predictable, we cant say when the sun spots is highest, but on averange the cycle is on 11 years and scientist are expecting a solar maximum for the spring in 2013. There is nothing we sould worry about, more than groups of satanist aare going to make turmoil. Have a nice day :)

i would also like to point out that we would almost certainly be able to detect if one were to happen soon. such a huge change should be easy to detect before it starts. and, as of now, there has been nothing to suggest that one would happen soon.

The fact that they were the oldest civilization (and they actually arent) is more of a reason not to believe them. The muslims were far more developed and much more advanced than the mayans ever got a chance to be. again, there is no evidence at all to support the idea that the mayans thought ANYTHING was going to happen.
and nasa has told us about so many potential end-of-the-worlds, including 2036, why would this be any different? why would they be the ONLY ones in the world to know?

the muslim civilization (especially at 900-1100 AD) really were by far the most advanced in regards with mathematics, astronomy, and medicine. when the mayans were ripping hearts out the muslims were studying circulatory and immune systems. any basic world history class will agree with me.

Can we believe what NASA say or any of the governments of the world for that matter! One thing is predictable, the human imagination! This is where religions come from in my belief. We only get fed information on a need to know basis, this in turn feeds speculation. Speculation becomes prediction, prediction becomes religions. Religions go round in circles. Repeating the same story but with new characters. Science is a discovery cycle, not based on speculation, prediction or religion.

people really have the wrong idea on NASA. while they are government funded they are VERY truthful. they have told us about pre-existing potential end-of-the-worlds, including 2036 (dont get worked up, the odds are very well in our favor).
Plus, why have none of the other major astronomy centers of the world said any words on 2012? if something actually has potential to happen, at least ONE of them would hint to SOMETHING.

No other major astronomy centres would dare to come out & declare impending disaster because funding would stop, people will panic and the whole scientific world would suddenly have to cover up a cover up! If there was anything to cover up in the first place.
