What exactly is the difference between a speed run, and a good ole SSS run? Just, to complete it in as many chapters as possible, regardless of rank? Or is it something to do with actual time spent as well?
A speed run aims for the lowest game time, instead of turn count. A (non-SSS) speed run also doesn't need to recruit/save everyone, because that would waste time. They do share quite a few strategies though.
