  • anu na ho ba ang nangyari sa clark ngayon?

  • we need us bases here!!!halata nmn na ndi pa tau handang protektahan ang bansa natin!!! ang taas kasi ngh PRIDE natin...kahit hindi kaya pinipilit...we let them rent those bases, at habang nand2 cla.palakasin natin ang armed forces natin!!tsk2 pinoy nga naman!!

  • I think it is time that we should have the U,S. bases back here the Philippines to keep Chinese intrusion at bay while we build and modernize our armed forces. We cant keep our claim in the Spratlys with the Chinese bullying us neither explore the sea bed in the area for oil to improve the poor condition of our country and the citizenry.

  • It wasn't Estrada that kicked the U.S. Bases out. It was the Senate while Corizon Aquino was President. He was just an actor then. He did try to revive the Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA) though.

  • Estrada is really stupid to kick out US military bases in philippines... he wont have to buy new units and weapons and he can keep more money to himself cuz his CORRUPT!!

    FUCK U ESTRADA

  • @Ko0lKiDz1 fuck u 2

  • clark and subic base helped in the vietnam war, now that U.S is gone. china's challenging S.E.a

  • pabalikin nlng ntin ang us d2 para may deterrent tau sa china.... or kng gusto nyo iparenta nlng ntin ulit for 99 yrs..2lad sa singapore

  • I want the americans back here in philippines :D

  • Clark ruled! The rest of my air force career sucked. There was just no comparison. Screw Joseph Estrada. The U.S. doesn't have the money to reopen Clark or Subic. The P.I. doesn't have any money to share the costs like other countries. It's not gonna happen over the Spratly islands but we can dream can't we

  • brought back memories. 3rd crs ins, inst, wcs shop

  • I was stationed there, the bull crap propaganda 13 AF put out is funny now.

  • Thank you for sharing this video, it revived such great memories, I had the pleasure and opportunity to get stationed there in 1980-83 with the 3rdTFW, 3rd AGS Weapons Loading Section and Weapons Loading Standardization . It was without a doubt, the best assignment of my career.

  • song name?

  • Fucking president Mr. Joseph Estrada is the main reason why the Philippines' forces is weakening. He removed every airbase in the Philippines containing 4th generation aircraft, attack helicopters and various other high tech weaponry.

And now, look at our situation, as for the Spratlys Dispute, there is no way we can make it against China's forces. We don't have any advanced jet fighters, submarines and tanks. We will just have to wait while kicking us in the ass.

  • yes

  • i just hope our current president restores the base and make it a place of strict military discipline and not a place where you get sick because of prostitutes.

i just wish it would happen.

    we damn need jobs,

    especially in the military.

  • It was the BIGGEST mistake the Philippines wanted the US to leave.

  • watch goodbye america

  • what is the song

  • i am working here at CAB... i 'm so glad that this base is like that 20 yrs ago... but sad to think that this base can't even improve its true power since this base is not Clark Air Base anymore.. its Center of All Bussiness..

  • and korea has Osan? why not Clark..damn..P noy should allow to Re open the Base !

  • @nil1230

we should but the leftist will cry and won't shut up if the bases re opens.

  • i wish us base shoul go back in pi

  • @dawndarkangel no if they do that china and russia will think that US is invading the PHIL. penisula

  • @danilomflores16 if they do that, we'd explain it to them.... besides what do they care, we are allied w/ US

  • Wagner High School class of 1987 :)

If we could only go back.

  • Dont help the poor..

HELP THE POOR AND THOSE WHO ARE PROGRESSIVE.

  • I don't know if I am posting to the right video or not. I was stationed at Clark early 68' to late 69'. Have just been checking out some flicks about Fields ave and surounding area. I was an electrician on the C-130's and did 2 tours in Nam. Thanks for posting.

  • I used to go to Clark and the other US bases in the Philippines and I always felt that these places gave me a feeling of being in America. Just shows that it's not really the place that matters but how people manage it and make it a slice and window of their life and culture.

  • What a base and what memories...all are gone now.. Clark Air Base lives only in our dreams. Clark 1985-1989 Rock on!!

  • Nice music.......nice people.....

  • Bring back all the good times living around Clark Air Base

  • just think of it...clark air base is as big(or more) as Singapore....

  • Its good to see modern aircrafts in clark when the americans are still there, but now you'll see nothing but old S-211s and piece of crap, display only, scraped F-5s and F-8s...

  • Comment removed

  • Were there actually some British/Australian aircrafts based in Clark Airbase when it was still a US base?

  • No,just participating in various exercises.I remember seeing aircraft from Australia,Singapore,Thailand,South Korea and New Zealand

  • Not based but as califsucks mentioned they were there regularly participating in Cope Thunder exercises. I have seen australian, singapore, phillipines, US airforce from Korea (ZZ, choking chicken squadron). I remember thinking how lucky australian maintenance crew were for being allowed to wear shorts on the flightline.

  • "I remember thinking how lucky australian maintenance crew were for being allowed to wear shorts on the flightline." I remember that to LOL. I worked at the CRS test cell ,where did you work?

  • yep i also remember my time there ,Stationed 1986 to 1989 i also remember other participating nations because we hosted operation cope thunder.I remember seeing F-5s,NZ A-4 ,F-18 hornets and NZ skyahawks .I miss Clark so much!People r so friendly! all tho i was a very handsome guy back then..girls used 2 love me when passing Angeles city.Wering those aviator glasses and my kool hair,I looked just like men in Top Gun.

  • d2 kami nagfield trip nung november 2007 lumindol pa nga ng tanghali eh...

I was there we had a field trip there specially at Duty free and Sm Clark when afternoon came it was like the trees moving but my lolo said that it was just the root of the tree when we went home to san mateo rizal i saw tv patrol it was 6.8m earthquake.

  • its a sorry sight for americans leave clark airbase... its better to have a mediator within RP than kill each other in mindanao... its nasty...

  • Yap, with the American Presence, it would have prevented that conflict. Too bad, the legislature that was run by Joseph Estrada wanted the American Presence out, he did not realize how much of a help we were to the people of Philippines. I just wish that could still have U.S. Military bases in the Philippines.

  • @joerayy Hey if clark air base was still around today maybe you guys could lend a few F22s to us Filipinos. :D

  • @dacarfreak2000 Sorry dude. I just wish that those bases were permanent. In fact the whole Philippine Islands should have been part of the U.S. But NO because the Philippine Government is so corrupt. If that would have happen, there won't be any OFWs because everybody will either have a job or receive unemployment benefits, depending on the situation.

  • @joerayy hey i was being sarcastic! anyway you are right about our government it is corrupt even for a christian country.

  • @joerayy We filipinos wanted that because of some chinese bastards who violent our airspace and seashore

  • @joerayy Estrada want to get more money from philippines taxs payers with out america agents looking for his ass. That is why he argue with the people AMERICA SHOULD LEAVE THE COUNTRY. After few years he got jailed for corrupting and while he is in jail he ask permission to be treated in united states geez.

  • @M4A108 Stupid asshole. If he is going to get treated then he better not go to the Mayo Clinic. He better go to the places where all the uninsured go-county hospitals.

  • @joerayy You are so right. If you ask me most of the filipinos want united states of america come back to the philippines because since USA leave the country a massive corruption going on and our country is being harass by commie neighborhood and they provide guns to commie rebels. 90% of filipinos want philippines to be one of the states which is being offered after WW2 and ramos era. Only those fool politicians don't like. Nowadays you can see them in casino while soldiers is in battlefield.

  • @joerayy yes us will comeback this 2011 the presedent is trying to bring back american forces at palawan

  • @joerayy

sir, that would be Cory Aquino's legislature...

  • @scalaberch69 Cory Aquino's Administration but the whole legislative branch at the time was spear headed by Estrada "Erupt"

  • 0:34-0:39-live action sitcom adaption of atashinchi anyone?

  • Great video! I specially like how you timed each footage to sync with the music, it added more impact on the whole presentation. Thanks to all the great men and women who continue to serve unselfishly.

  • correction:

    Quote from family guy episode:

G.I. Joe: He's absolutely right, kids, because when you encounter them nobody wins. In fact that in the past 56 years in japan, there were over 1.076 deaths from 200,000 crimes and accidents as a result of US military prescence in japan

    Kids: Now we know!

G.I. Joe: And knowing is half the battle!

  • I now live and work in Clark. There are now more Filipinos working in Clark than there were during the Americans' time. I'm not saying the community surrounding Clark did not benefit from their presence - of course they did. Clark, in my opinion, should stand as a testament to the Filipinos' courage and determination to gather himself up from a disaster and head on towards building a better life for himself.

  • tell memore about clark are there much americans left? IO hwear there is a mall nearby

  • There are about 5,000 American citizens still living near the Clark area. Most of them have families with young kids. There's an SM Mall inside and a Robinson's nearby. Ayala is building another one around 10 mins away. Where are you from?

  • Hawaii. I am in IRaq rightnow but would like to live IN PI. how is the economy? is there any sports bars? do you see any american military around?

  • Hey thanks for serving in the cause for freedom. The economy is growing at 7.3% annually. There are several sports bars, some local-run, some run by retirees. US soldiers conduct exercises here about 3-4x a year. There is a VFW Post and 2 American Legion Posts. Lots of retirees cause they get more bang for the buck.

  • do you work there? what are the names of the bars? I am interested in checking it out. I plan to come around Decmber. I am a reservist but have done two tours in IRaq. I dont get a retirement check but I will have my twenty year letter in 09. want to find out the secrets of the area.

  • Yeah I work in the area. Drop me an email so I can respond to you appropriately and in confidence.

  • Hi, are there any medical facilities on or near clark that accept Tricare medical insurance? It's what military retirees have. Thanks

  • Check tricare's website. They list all available treatment facilities there.

  • yes, there are tricare insuranse here in clark, i know it because my sister's husbund is an U.S soldier, he is in iraq now..

  • So very true. There is alot of history behind Clark, including the Negritos. I was stationed there 68'-69'. Worked on the C-130s. Alot of good memories.

  • yea the negritos were cool

  • Anyone please who have videos during the turn over ceremony at the 13th AF Parade Ground, when the American flag was being lowered and the Philippine flag is being raised up. I was there and in tears during that very moment. Imagining that 24 long years that I was a Filipino civilian employee of the US Air Force then, suddenly its goodbye.

  • Born and grew up outside Clark in Mabalacat. Left the PI in 1987 upon joining the US Navy. Had it been still a US military base, I would have been living in the Philippines since my retirement from US Navy.

  • I lived there(Clark AiR Base) from 1986 to June 1991. Watching this video has made me extremely nostalgic for those days of being a kid again. My real name is James "Bobby" Howard: ) Viva la Philippines!!!

  • I really miss those F4 jets when the US Airforce are still there...I grew up in Angeles city and got used to this jet roars even at school when I was a kid..it really brings back those good ol' days...kool video!!

  • do you know imee marasigan and femy canlas at auf?

  • this is the Far East network, Philippines?

  • . . . bases in the Philippines. Oops my mistake.

  • This video is the reason why the U.S. Armed forces should not have gotten evicted from their their military bases from the Philippines. We not only provided jobs but also basic amenities to the surrounding communities. I just wish that there would still be that kind of American presence in the Philippines.

  • Yeah, I just wished that too.

  • This is Rusty Barfield, used to be stationed at Clark AB from 1988-1991. I produced this video for the Air Force Ball held at the Clark AB enlisted club in 1990. Interesting to see what I did so many years ago. Thanks for posting this. I would rate it but that would be unfair since I did it. If you have anymore of our videos from FEN Clark please post them.

  • hey Rusty you did a great job on this video.. each time i see it it really hits the heart.. i really miss Clark AB.. i was lucky to be stationed at Clark from 81-83 and again 85-89. I plan to visit Clark Sept or Oct 08. If you have anymore FEN videos (i also liked the Clark museum video)... please post them.. God Bless and good luck to you Jim Mangin

  • have u visited clark already?

  • Hi Rusty,

  • Yes I have more video,I have a story about a SR_71 that landed at Clark. I will post it ASAP.

  • Sorry I haven't responded back sooner. Yes I do have some more videos. I have some of my travels around clark and some of Subic. The ones of Subic were taken the day after the big eruption in 1991. They have never been seen before and shot by my romate and his friends. I hope to put them on soon.

  • Thanks Pievac.. I am waiting on my Girlfriend From Subic that works on the old base for a company.. she will be here the 1st of december. she went thru that and im sure will bring back memories.. If you have anymore Clark videos.. please post them.. I plan to visit Clark neaxt September/October and take video

  • @PIEVAC I was there. I worked for 13th AF, so we went down to Subic 3 days before the initial eruption, processed all of the americans in, and stayed until the bitter end.
