I thought it would be a traditional song by one of your own countrymen. But it sounded very Irish to me. Sure enough...written by Paddy Tunney (1921 -- 2002) (wikipedia) Great song and so nicely sung Jacques !

I only know it's Irish, and as far as I know it's a traditional, sung in a lot different versions by lots of artists.

very nice again, Jacques! a traditional song, from Ireland no doubt ("Galway"). the only thing that puzzles me is the sugar cane growing high and the tea growing on trees... makes you wonder where the unnown poet actually located these Lowlands of Holland... (at World's End, perhaps?)? the answer is probably lost in the mists of time - and that's one of the things that makes it a traditional! well done, keep on turning them out like this!
