  • Thank you new scientists for a great knowledge about the sun.

  • We can save earth by use the sun power replacing oil power.

  • T think the magnetic vibration produces something look like song

  • The sun songs are great!

  • This video is great.

  • I like this video.

  • Good video.

  • how the hell does that orange car not flip!?

  • U play the solar tune backwards...

  • Cancer looks like cotton candy!

    Could we possibly sell this?

  • @laxwolf cancer is sold everyday in so many shapes...

  • @Dm3qXY Interesting.

  • Bravo!

  • i want that motorcycle O.O

  • and where can we find this worm????

  • Golden swastikas, smart dust & killer worms.

    Quiet interesting episode!

Wonder what medical condition forces him to smoke weed, though. Poor guy...

  • 7 us

  • Well done NS I think you finally cracked a good format. I hope to see more of these in the future.

  • he's a joker :P

  • That guy is pretty funny, well done!

  • so life started around 4 billion years ago but multi-celular life is only 500 million years old?

  • @robertwc82 Apparently, but, here is an article that states that we have found a multicellular organism that is 2 billion years old - google sciencedaily, multicellular organism.

  • noice

  • Screw the so-called nazi laser, i found out about beaks how their length depends on the temperature, So the beak gets longer when things gets hot, (Oh snap, sexual innuendo! Bow chica wow wow!)

  • @ErostheEpic

    Great comment!

  • ^,^ hi~

loved that stuff. SUn music is cool!

  • Dudes, chill, the swastika points the other way. Not racist.

  • Awesome videos!

  • oh shit nazi lazer

  • that music was epic

  • billions of years of mars's history? how many billions of years old can those little puddles of water be? the entire universe is only 13.7 billion years old.

  • @jasonsadventure There are no puddles of water, they dried up billions of years ago.

    Derptard.

  • @Sickshot12 either i misspoke or u misunderstood. if (a) water (in puddles or whatever), years ago, existed on mars and (b) took billions of years to disappear then (c) the water that previously existed lasted for billions of years.

that means water puddles on mars lived longer than the universe's first stars, which lived, from start to explosive finish, in a few hundred million years

  • @jasonsadventure i myself am over a billions years old of matter. Maybe I might have a bit more carbon 13 in me to make me sound younger.

  • The sun sounds pissed.

  • more cannibals!!!

  • once again, great roundup! keep posting!

  • I love the chills I get from excitement when watching new scientist videos

  • The cancer thing, maybe it would be better if instead of turning the cells pink, it kills them. Just a suggestion.

  • the 2th nano worldwar

  • The No. 1 Worm at the end is such a great example, of many, regarding how environment really does dictate development and behavior. Any serious personal research will justify that if we have abundance, we would also be less...toothy. :)

    - The Venus Project

  • hey

  • lovely!

  • Thanks for sharing.

  • Clip #1....spore!

  • The ugliest car and the cannibal worm rules.

  • there is 1 idiot that didnt like this...must be a retard...

  • was that a tata vista at around 3:40 ?

  • @roundworms Damn nature. You scary.

  • Wow, this is so much better then any of the other new scientist videos. An actual normal voice that doesn't make me want to give up on this channel.

  • I love to learn

  • this guy is a way better speaker than those in the past.

  • Awesome, loved it! If I were king, they'd have to show these videos in Sunday schools.

  • hi, i just wanted to say hi.

  • was the one of the requirements for the sustainable cars that they have to be UGLY AS ASS???

  • @glenbruce when competing in competitions like that, style isn't a major priority for the competitors. Performance is everything

  • @glenbruce Good luck on making a car that is both light weight, aerodynamic, safe and have the ability to fit people onto it. Look at how the cars are designed, notice how the thin side of the paper cuts through air much easier than it's flat side. If your car design can surpass those cars then great.

  • That's it, I'm starting a new science-pop metal band called "Cannibal Worm". Our first hit will be called "Its in my Nurture to eat you".

  • Fantastic I love these videos!!1

  • Cool stuff.

  • Name of the song?

  • like Like LIKE

  • RIB Hayabusa, ya did good.

  • The Sun 'music' reminds me of StarCraft's start-up sound :P

  • finally a human presenter.

  • The Sun sound AWESOME!!!

  • More videos like this.

  • interesting stuff!

  • Wow, newscientist rocks as always.

I suggest anyone to read their magazine at your local library

  • That was a cool video.

  • musical sun + horror movies = horror movies with great sound FX

  • the new speaker is perfect . congratulations

  • damn! that worm is gross.

  • those algae are amazing.

  • Very cool. That worm with the teeth, Wow, and I just watched the movie splice last night

  • Interesting stories, great video footage!

  • hey that sounded really good. whats this guy on to

  • finally a presenter who's enteratining!

    good video guys

  • Worm Footage - Relates to People as Well. Coming of Age in a War Zone will Produce Ruthless Predators.

  • one badass worm!

  • Hey the killer worm video was tight as hell to me, and the light mill, I wonder how that can be used.

  • it's unnerving to see what is happening in the millimeter to micro meter range!

Thankfully our lousy eyes spares us that!!

  • That 'light mill'...

that cant be used to generate power, can it? it's only for controlling the rotation of nanodiscs?

if it is used for generating power (via a basic turbine method) would the power output be anywhere near useful?

  • @yusufsheth The power output would be incredibility small, but who knows what the future holds and maybe one day we can turn that power output into something much larger.

  • Great video.. I love the way it's presented in a short time span.

  • @akib89 For your short attention span? 8) Sorry, I just could not resist... Obviously you are an intelligent life form, you have watched this.

  • name of the music anyone?

  • The fact that the cancer identifying pill is going to hit markets, worries me. I don't like medicine being in the hands of companies.. Just makes it harder for people to get what they need.

  • "The smaller the (room) temperature, the smaller the (gas) bill!"

  • this guy is an awesome host for NSVs

    NSVs ROCK

  • GODDOMOT FRONK!

  • Suns sound was better then most pop-songs. With a little modification one could make a cool song from it. Reminded me of Dark Knights soundtrack.

  • all amazing news,. espescially interesting was nature vs. nurture talk.

  • I miss the soothing British accents that I've become accustomed to in New Scientist videos. Please make it like it was, change scares my simple and infantile mind.

  • nazinanobots!

  • @CurryCurry Not Nazi: Catholics change face or direction. The Nazi were honest straight forward monsters.

  • @CurryCurry lol true

  • @CurryCurry this time they wd certainly take over the world !!

  • @CurryCurry Actually the symbol that appeared it's symbol that means luck to the chinese(i guess)

  • @CurryCurry at least these can be reversed with teh newly developed epilepsy rays!

  • So awesome

  • wtf cure for cancer? :O

  • @AngeloProduction

Cure would be exaggerated, but great help in treatment (at least for some types) definitely!

  • @superdau Yeah kind of a 'cure'. Still pretty awesome.

  • Good stuff! :) Keep making vidz .. I love watching this!

  • Always Amazed.
