I had just graduated HS (97) when this came out. This was an anthem for a while. The B-Side produced by Pete Rock was just as nice. Good stuff.

This joint is still DAF dope as fuck. 98 was the sickest hip hop record release year ever, from Big Pun debut "Capital Punishment" to Pete Rock "Soul Survivor" and the list goes on, so many classic records got dropped that year. I remembered this as one of those plates but after i just listened the whole album "Metropolis Gold" through i must say that there was like only two dope as fuck tracks, Preemo produced -The Actual- and Pete Rock produced -Priceless-.

@canibusnj yea i hear you, onyx official nast crew was dope, i think because they left defjam after shut em down 98 that they didnt get a chance to drop as a crew, they had some dope artists on there, scarred 4 life, gangreen, all city, clay da raider, x1, but yea all city were the best of the bunch, i think they were overlooked simply because a lot of dope albums came out in 98 with big budget producers and hype so all city faded into obscurity, 98 was all about DMX and canibus in hip hop

TCQ had their final LP, The original Brand Nubian reunited, ya also had Lord Tariq & Peter Gunz (tho "Make It Reign" sucked). Def Squad "El Nino" album,GangStarr's "Moment Of Truth",Meth's 2nd LP finally droppin',X Zibit's "What You See Is What You Get" video("40 Dayz and 40 Nightz" was a banger too). 98' was a pretty intriguing year in hip hop.
