The Kenyan government should send troops to WIPE OUT those perpetrating murder, arson, hooliganism. Many of these 'protesters' are BIGOTS and BANDITS who are exploiting the dubious election results to attack their fellow citizens and to loot. Any civilian assaulting another or resisting pacification efforts should be SHOT or HANGED. Corruption must be addressed legally, not lawlessnessly. Summarily executing those those responsible for the carnage would instill this message and save Kenya.
sadly many govt officials were found to be BEHIND the attacks. within minutes of the election, mobs set up parameters and began looting. it was organizeed & backed by politicians. the violence is a consequence of kenya's history of "ethnic"-related tension (as a result of political manipulation and ethnic group favoring as tactic to remain in power). the govt needs to pressure to end corruption (ironic) but it won't be easy, most civilians mistrust the govt- they take bribes daily, i've seen it.
....and men with pangas, why are you slaughtering your brothers like chicken? Oh yse the are lying in the mortuaries with both bullet wounds and panga cuts. This is the last thing we want to happen to our people.Whoever thinks its okey to kill because of hunger and because they were robbed of their victory, then he is sick in the head and a killer as weel.
IF YOU ARE HUNGRY YOU DO NOT KNOW LAW. YOU WILL ONLY THINKING HOW IS YOUR STOMACH BECOME FULL..LIKE THIS!!! that is the REASON LOTS OF CRIME in the WORLD. And what the Leaders doing nothing.Peace to all the victims of Hunger.
i think what is going on is, kenyans are tired for siting and waiting hopefully that someone is going to rescue them off the demon...CORRUPTION. They are taking matters into their own hands...just sad that they are going after each other. GOVERNMENT, kenyans are no longer naive. keep that in mind
How is raila supposed to present his case amidst common lions who are roaring with hunger for power. they all belong to the same man who's robbed him and the kenyans...this rigging shit was bound to happen thats why the high court appointments were made before the elections...just so his flesh and the kenyans' can be tossed for one lions mouth to the other
ONEday my lord is gonna touch all these with judgement. What evil is a man who protests being robbed victory. The Human Rights activists should get a hold of whoever issued such orders to shoot at site.Men in uniform why kill your own bro!!--did you see them laying down in the mortuary taday? yes they had gun wounds. Why do political dictators fear demonstrations?it reveals what the real issue is and what needs be addressed. But they walk away from it and start exchanging accusations.
On the issue of violence, I think that Raila is wrong to refuse talks with Kibaki unless Kibaki concedes. Peace in Kenya should be of paramount importance right now. The vote can be re-counted or challenged in court.
May the souls of the victims who have died in such horrific act rest in peace. This should not have happened and what a loss of innocent lives, mostly the people who face poverty in their daily lives just to be made worst by such killings.
Why can't kibaki accept a recount or vote audit? this will definitely put angry kenyans at ease. The courts i don't trust nobody should who swore him again 15 min after the so called results were announced? recount, re-elect or audit the votes..... thats democracy!
For those calling on Raila to stop this what exactly do u want him to do!! U cannot ally him to address the pple who elected him the president. Clearly you have seen what pple want, If you cannot see, get a hold of your doc. This violence should stop, SIMPLE RAILA APISHWE!! APISHWE RAILA. pple's president.Courts my Jang'o ass...Kibaki's men he appointed last month including this incompetent ECK fools
wow, thats why there are something we call law procedures. if raila is so confident the elections were rigged, why cant he show the evidence. kibaki's party clearly stated to bring it to the courts rather than starting a million man march to nairobi that will only bring instability. the two should communicate to bring normality to the country.
and may i ask why would some1 want a president who is pro violence?
Hi there I am going to play devil's advocate here but what legal institutions are there to ensure that justice is available? Remember that the bi-election in Lamu was held in 2007 after a petition was filed in 2003 where is the fairness in justice denied. Like Raila said, the government wants him to go to the courts they control since they even appointed judges to the high court and court of appeal a few days to the elections.
you have your points there. but dont you think most of the news media only show that kibaki has only a handful of followers and raila has the rest behind his back? biased as the stand..
shows that corruption hasn't changed in the country for a good 44 years.
Kenyans lets shun violence. The leaders don't care about your lives. They are hungry for power. Don't let other people pay.If ther is anyone to burn down, go after the leaders. Not innocent people. Please stop it. Kaka
i understand that they are angry but how does killing each other and burning the country down help???? so stupid. this is why africa cant develop because of poeple like this. you go out and riot and loot and butcher other ethnic group plus burn the city down.....you damn right you should be shot!. what country would allow this to happen. just because your angry?. poeple get too emotional which results in death.
I don't doubt that some citizens are doing wrong and injustices to others right now, but believe me, the Kenya police will not hesitate to shoot you! So, a lot of innocent Kenyans are likely being shot by police to "restore order".
If Kibaki is so confident that he won, why doesn't he allow a recount or an international independent investigation? Simple, he stole the seat. He should have done what Mandela did years ago, but we all know that's not gonna happen. Not from someone who came into presidency using Raila to get there and then turn right around and collude with Moi!
That said, the violence and murder is appalling and senseless, and it will not help anyone. May God bring peace and justice to all.
Raila has not denied a recount, but which votes are we recounting, when are we going to recount them and what would be the purpose if Kibaki is in office "for the next five years"? Let Kibaki step down, we have a recount and if this is not good enough a run off.
This man is not my president and whatever respect I had for him has gone down the drain.
why is the EU the one the media give their attention to? why are they not giving their attention to the AU? white man trying to push for a civil war in kenya again. please stop white man from interefering in our politics, why was white man invinted by the way?
Anarchy? Dude I just peeped at your profile. Bitch you live in the States. People are dying in Kenya and your family will be affected not too long from today. lets see where they'll shop for grocery in a few weeks from now...You probably got some granny still alive in your boondoks huh? where will she buy sugar and tea? unless you fina start drinking fish for breakfast I dont know son! fools like you jst proof why they call y'all kids!!
I just came back from Kenya in August. It is a beautiful country, and Kibaki did some good to the country. What Kibaki is doing now lacks transparency, and I think Raila really is the winner. People in Kenya don't play when it comes to there rights! Americans should protest when our elections are rigged too, but without the violence.
I think that actually is what Ron Paul would say... and is it right?
There is rom for international observers to do just that, observe, analyse, condemn, and encourage action by the local people, but this is a problem only Kenyans can and should solve.
The best case scenario, I think, is for the elected government to begin its work. If the elections were rigged, is it worth the destruction of so many lives to right the wrong?

Don't you know Blacks are innocent, they are not responsible for these problems.
You must find a way to blame all these problems on White people.
That is the polically correct thing to do.
There is no other way.

You are quite a racist. It was "the black man" that invited the EU and they followed the invitation.
Where is any clue/prove, that the EU/US or any other western power are supporting a war? So far the violence is (mostly) done by Kenya natives.
