  • will the box magazine not come out if I already removed the dust guard and bolt assembly?

  • @PhOeNiXpIoLe it will come out...

  • @PhOeNiXpIoLe ./... you must FIRST ... REMOVE the trigger group from the lower part of the rifle... just as shown in the DVD...

  • @DuFlux I did the only problem is the magazine is sticking in the stock, with the trigger group and bolt back.

  • @PhOeNiXpIoLe without SEEING your weapon... I cannot ascertain what the problem might be... send CLEAR pics to the email at TrulyTactical - dot - com

  • i would consider buying your dvd and other items, but you won't ship a lot of your items into canada... to bad, i really wanted "non-duckbill removeable mags... :(

  • @alzathoth ..... it's incorrect to say, " You won't ship"... It's more correct to say. "you CAN'T ship"... It's all the BS trety laws and other unconstitutional regulations that disallow me from shipping to Canada... It's not by choice or I would be shipping stuff to Canada every day .... But I am bound by the constraints of ITAR, US Customs, and the US State Department...

  • BS. I have a 30 round duckbill for one of my SKSs and have used it for 21 years. I have fired 50,000 rounds. It has never failed. In the extreme heat of the desert Tapcos fail sometimes.

  • @glennwih your LUCKY experience with one single mag... is by FAR... absolutely NOT the norm... The VAST majority of "reviews" here on YouTube with 30 rounders overwhelmingly have a mag fail. I do not want to trust my life to equipment that in MANY MANY other cases has been shown to be prone to failure...

  • @glennwih FACTS are FACTS... your mag is one in a thousand.. kudos to you for scoring it... but I bet I could run circles around you in a live fire drill that required as many as eight reloads, including emergency reloads and tac reloads.

  • @DuFlux I have the mag and will look at the maker. I bought 2 30rders and one 40. The 40 sucked and I only used it 5 times approx.

  • @glennwih I bet you can't get any RELIABLE 30 rounders in todays market.... (sadly) I wish Tapco would make Normal Capacity Mags (30 rounders).....

  • @DuFlux Yep, I bet you are right. The mag has no marks on it. Genreic Chi-com I guess. I love my sks. I wouldn't trade it for the world.

  • good vid. subscribed...... hey sks's arent still in production are they?

  • @huntedFX I don't think so... they're a 1940s and 1950s rifle.... but with all the mods we are doing to them... we are bringing them into the modern age... our "Modding your SKS - Volume II - The Front End" is JUST coming out... get it at TrulyTactical-dot-com

  • Does this allow the use of an AK Mag? NO.

There is not a "kit" for a SKS to convert it to use AK mags. This is due to the AK magazine being wider than the opening in the SKS receiver. The receiver requires milling to widen the magazine well, welding in a front magazine catch, and cutting the front of the trigger group off then welding a Ak mag catch on it. Also the bolt needs to be milled to narrow it so it will fit between the feed lips of the AK magazine.
